As I sit in my favorite chair ready to praise my Lord I begin to think of all I am thankful for. Some things quickly come to mind, Like food, clothing, shelter and family times. But what about the simple things we take for granted each day? Like this quiet time I take to pray; The hot cup of coffee sweetened to taste; And the precious luxury of a warm, inviting place. The precious times we’ve had with family and friends, And the meaningful, loving, conversations with each of them. For our Church family that is spread across many miles. And the wonderful touches from God that causes hearts to smile. As I write down my thoughts of all I’m thankful for, I see there are countless blessings I have received from my Lord. Soon I get ready for our big day planned to prepare, Our feast of thanks of God’s provisions shared. A Thanksgiving meal with all the trimmings….my diet is to be crashed But also I am thankful to know my family loves me even if I’m fat!!!
Psalms 92:1 It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High:
Scriptures says we are more than conquerors in Christ Jesus and that I can do all things through Christ. Great words but do we really believe it? If the Word says it is so then it is!
Victory in Jesus
There is victory in Jesus; people sing it in song all the time. But listen to the words I give in this word of rhyme. Victory in Jesus means just as it proclaims. It means there is no failure in His name. If Jesus is your Savior, He has bought you with His blood. The truth the victory declares seems to be misunderstood. Victory is Jesus when He is ruler of your life; For the person you once were, was on the cross sacrificed. You are now living Jesus, no longer should sin or shame, Cast its evil influence through your name. Jesus in you is stronger than the world about. The Jesus in you must cast the evil out. “There is victory in Jesus, my Savior forever” are the words you sing. You triumph through every trial for He brings victory in everything.
1 Corinthians 15:57-58 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
I John 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
The love of God for man is greater than our minds can ever comprehend. When we recognize the gift of salvation and the unmerited favor of God for us there is nothing more precious. All the pleasures and beauty of the world cannot come close to the splendor of the opportunity to spend eternity with a God that loved us so much He died to make us one with Him.
There is nothing as Awesome
Even the rainbow’s colors across the clear blue sky. Or an majestic eagle when it spreads its wings to fly, Or a bird’s songs of pure, sweet praise, Or an innocent child with arms upraised, Or the Sun’s shine on a lake of glass, Or a life fulfilled with more than you ask. Even a baby’s smile as it cuddles their mother’s breast, Even when life is full of peace and happiness, There is nothing as great, awesome, or as grand, As a mental image of the Creator reaching down to man. The loveliest flower, the sweetest song; Most enchanting scene does not in the same realm belong. For the One that created all there is and is to come, Loved man so much He gave His Son. Even the wings of butterflies, or wisps of golden strands of hair; Cannot illustrate the soft touch of the love God with man has shared.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Psalms 104:1 Bless the LORD, O my soul. O LORD my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with honour and majesty.
Psalms 145:5 I will speak of the glorious honour of thy majesty, and of thy wondrous works.
God’s love reaches into the deep places and brings His healing touch whenever we call for His help. But there are times when assisted even before we ask. It will take eternity to discover all the times He has helped, rescued, and healed us unaware.
Oh lonely heart that yearns for more, All you need is the Lord. Oh crying heart full of pain and fear, Just call the Lord, and He will draw near. Oh heart that feels dead, cold, with little love to give, Ask and the Lord will help you learn to forgive. Oh heart full of shame you cannot bear, Trust the Lord He died because He cared. Willing hearts who desires to know God’s love is real, Lift your cup to be filled with the wondrous love that heals.
Revelations 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
John 14:18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
There are many battles but the one battle constant is the battle of the flesh. Just as we think we have conquered its threat we have not and find we cannot stand against it alone. We need God’s help each day. He helps by teaching the Scripture. He lifts us up as He answers prayer. He comforts and heals from our wounds because He lives within. He gives us strength to overcome for He is our strength. He never leaves us or forsakes us.
The Battle of Flesh
Constant is the battle; wrong or right; Within there is a great fight. As you abstain from doing as you wish This is the battle of flesh Know as you continue; as you from sin depart, It becomes easier when in the right direction you start. I then become your strength, I make you strong. I lead from within away from wrong. I am the One that shows the right way; As you study the Word and as you pray. When you learn Scripture – I speak in your heart. The truth stands inside and will not depart. As you live the example you should be, You are also a word spoken for Me. Others around you will hear loud and clear, The truth I desire for them to hear. Little children know battles are sure to come, But remember the war is already won. You must choose the side you serve; right or wrong. Although battles still rage you can sing victory song!
Psalms 34:7 The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.
. Yesterday’s problem is in God’s hand to be solved in His way and in His time. Each day has its new start. We only need to fix our eyes on Jesus and keep on the straight and narrow path. He is our strength, and the One who helps carry our burdens. With His help we will continue onward toward our high calling. Keep your eyes on Jesus.
Onward on the path of life: Overcoming evil influences such as anger, fear and strife. Each day a forward walk, the past left behind. Onward, walking in the tracks the Lord leaves to find; With shoulders squared to meet the day without fear of defeat; With full knowledge you are equipped to the situation meet. Praises of love are sung, not with grumbling lips. Onward walks the child of God toward the goal ahead.. Thankful hearts see the future holds promise for them. They count on their Lord as their protector and their friend. They are shining examples for the world to see. Onward walks the child of God as they live there life for Me.
Psalms 112:7 He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD.
1 Corinthians 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
I desire to honor my mother. She was an unwed teenager when she decided to have her first born child. I am that child, I am forever grateful for her sacrifice to have me, it indeed was a sacrifice for she endured much heartache, shame, and blame. Her life was forever changed the day I was conceived. My life is forever connected to her. I love you mom and will rejoice when we are again reunited in Christ Jesus.
Mothers are amazing creations; within them life is formed. So special is this place, God visits before the child is born. Her name is to be honored and celebrated, For by her sacrifice God’s love is demonstrated. Mothers are mothers until the end. Their child is forever connected to them. Like the she-bear she will fight; No one anywhere is more precious in her sight. Like the Creator is always planning for your best, The mother by her child’s accomplishments is blessed. Mother’s day remembers the good things right and true; And place aside the temporary things that need to improve. A wise child remembers if it was not for her where would they be? She is responsible for your future indeed. Give thanks and praise to the Heavenly Father for such a gift bestowed. Mothers are a blessed treasure your heart holds.
Psalms 139 13 For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb.
If we could get just a glimpse of the war that rages all about us we would be amazed. We will see a mighty move of God when we do. When we do perceive and we begin to do the one thing we can do we will see many souls come into the Kingdom from every land. Pray for God’s will to be done.
The Battle Rages
My children do not understand what is going on around them. The battle rages and angels surround them. The Heavens are ringing with shouts of war. The truth is; many do not concern themselves anymore. They take life in easy strides and refuse to fight. They do not intercede to help overcome wrong with right. Souls fall in great number; greater than ever before. The harvest is ripe but many do not want to do work for the Lord. I need laborers to help lost souls see. Prayers of the Saints are necessary. The lost are forever lost, remember this I say; They need your assistance in the battles that rage. How do you help? Pray and reach out to share. Do the loving kind things to show them you care. Come join the Army that marches through the land. Not only in deed, but in song, for this is as I have planned.
Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Ephesians 6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
They say misery loves company and it seems people are quick to share bad news weather it is true or untrue. How can we be silent about the Good News of Salvation? We are instructed by God’s Word to preach in season and out of season. It is vital for the lost to hear of the wonderful provision for their soul. I am forever grateful I heard and believed and was made a new creature in Christ.
Go to the nations; tell them about God’s Son. Tell them all the good that He has done. Share the gospel; the Word is still true today. Go tell them it will never fade away. Go to the barren lands and give bread to eat. Go to the byways and into the crowded streets. In the darkness be a light. Share about the love of Christ. Show by signs and wonders that follow Jesus’ name. Proudly stand and God’s promises proclaim. Go into the darkness to save from the harvest of blood. Pull them out of danger lead to the cross of wood. Reach to the leper, to make clean again. Cast the sickness of sin out from them Tell the story of your once blindness and deafness to show, So the truth to them can be known. Teach little children whenever you get a chance. Always help another no matter the circumstance. I always will lead and guide you, you need never fear. If obedient the Spirit already prepares hearts to hear. Go tell the rejected cast-a-way. If they come I will not turn them away. Go into the highways, the hill country, and the plains, Tell everyone that God still breaks away chains. Tell them the King of Kings the honor of their presence requests. State the wedding invitations are already sent. As you go to love others is My plea. When you truly care you will tell them all about Me.
Psalms 34:1-4 I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make her boast in the LORD: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad. O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together. I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.
There is so much going on in our world, it feels like everything is upside down and backward. Do not feel alone in your feelings of frustration, and concern we all have need of assurance and direction from our Lord. In the Word we see in our weakness God is our strength. As we rely on God’s help we do not look like a wimp we look like Jesus.
Be Strong I Am With You
Be strong, alert, and courageous for I am with you. With God on your side you are able to this and even more do. Strong means to trust that God in you is strong. With His strength you will sing victory songs. Alert means to stay focused on Christ; Ready, willing, and able to in His strength fight.. Courageous means you know God is for you and that He lives within. With fearless determination you know because you belong to Him. He is with you, in you and walks ahead. He fights your battles when you are by the Spirit led. Be strong, alert, and courageous and you will see, God is with you indeed. The world flexes its muscles but God laughs at it display. Soon all will know the truth in its terrible array. Place all your faith in the Word; adhere its wisdom from above. And you will one day be face to face with the Word and enraptured by His love.
