A little becomes more than enough, When it is by God’s hand touched. Whatever you have, offer it to God above, To be multiplied by the touch of Love. In the Word of God many times, There are examples to testify God’s design. God proved time and again, That little becomes more when entrusted to Him. A small lunch fed multitudes…a little fish the taxes paid. A word of authority raised a dead man from the grave. A heart touched by the truth no longer lost remains; But is saved, and made new and freed from chains. Prayer moves mountains out of paths every day. An encouraging word can chase fear away, A tiny child that speaks faith can be, Like a beacon-light so a blind in heart can see. A word of rhyme jotted down, Becomes a wealth of wisdom good and sound. A little bit of joy fills up your life so much; It causes pleasure to those you touch.
Luke 6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
2 Corinthians 8:15 As it is written, He that had gathered much had nothing over; and he that had gathered little had no lack.
I know we can feel love, but can we see love? God is love. Love is plainly seen in the face of His Son Jesus. How I love Him who first loved me.
If Love Was Visible
If love was visible we would see. The softest, gentlest, feeling that could ever be. Love’s colors are beautiful; full of kindness for others. It is not forceful in any way; you will discover, Words full of hope and peace it prefers. Love’s touch is sacrificial and is willing to serve. Love touches with as gentle a hand, To lead and guide to the truth as it can. As you recognize what love does and Who is Love in the Word, You will desire show the world the truth you have heard. Love is clearly visible….He is Jesus God’s Son; And He can be and is seen in His chosen ones.
Ephesians 3:17-19 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
Psalms 73:28 But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all thy works.
This poem tells of clay being molded and shaped by the Potters hand. I have felt His work in the forming and I have felt the heat of the fire applied to make me strong; and it is not always a pleasant feeling. I trust Him and I trust I will be made a vessel better to serve Him.
The Fire Touched Life
The fiery touch of Heaven upon a life, Strengthens and conditions for service for Christ Clay is formed; molded and shaped, Into the vessel the potter desire to make. When a flaw is evident it is started anew. The same clay reformed is made a masterpiece into. After its forming, it is placed into the fiery furnace, So it will strengthen to endure at later service. Love is at work within you. His work is intricate, sure and precise. His full attention is in the formation of your life, He has great plans for you, which only He is able to see. It is a life of purpose, that brings profit for eternity, So remember in yourself and others; the process is slow. However there is great progress in the fire-touched soul. The Holy Spirit never tires of His work inside, So the outside like diamonds shine; proving Jesus within abides.
Isaiah 64:8 But now, O Lord, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand
Romans 8:38-39 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
His unfailing love fills the earth; it is displayed for all to see. From the mountains to the plains reveal His majesty. His sunrises and sunsets beautifully paint the sky; Causing pleasures to the watchful eye. The bird’s song, gentle breezes that caress the brow, The flight of the eagle, the waving palms that bow, The mighty cedars, the tiny seed that grows, The cross of Calvary provided to save sinful souls. His gentle prodding’s encourage all to come, With fierce intense flooding soulS with His love is overcome. His love fills the earth and enters and surrounds. The receptive heart that has opened, self will lay down. His joy, His praise, His strength and His power becomes, All a part of the life of His chosen one. Opened eyes begin to see His glory on every side; And His unfailing love without measure for His bride.
I will give thanks to the God of heaven. His love endures forever.
Words are powerful; they when kind, true, and wise are kept in a special place within. The Word of God placed within is a foundation strong. When Jesus ( The Word) is within we are strong.
There is a Place
There is a place where love words are kept safe within; To be enjoyed in remembrance again and again. Remember the kind word that lifted you when you were sad? It is in the special place you can visit when you feel bad. Loving words are always a gift when they touch your ear: But they speak much more effectively when your heart hears. There is a place where you can hear love words every day; The Holy Spirit encourages with wisdom that deep inside stays. So they too can be drawn up from within, To be shared to encourage or to help a friend. The Word of God is a never ending supply. Of life-giving utterances; like a river that never runs dry. It is a peaceful, loving- place where you will hear, God loved and died for you, and is always near. Its teachings of promise you draw strength from, Gladly is shared to encourage another one. When you speak good words that with the Word of God agree, You become the place the Spirit finds joy as He dwells in thee.
Psalms 19:14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.
When we have a very busy schedule many times we don’t think we even have time to pray! But really the opposite is true. When our priorities are right, even in busy, stressful times we will have His joy and strength within.
The Pullover Place
When life’s traffic is too fast, Sometimes it causes us to crash. Minds become boggled … body becomes stressed, The heart becomes heavy and life is not at its best. All needs to relax a bit; A quiet time causes much benefit. There is a wonderful pullover place; Provided through God’s mercy and grace. A lovely peace-filled place where strength is restored; Where there is found renewal in the Lord, Where sweet, tasty morsels are prepared, By a loving Savior that truly cares. Songs of beauty flood the heart anew, In this pullover place prepared for you. Amazing things happen when you take time out of your day, To spend with the One that provided the way. Completely refreshed and ready to go again; Ready to place yourself in service for Him. Remember, when you tire from life’s traffic – stop awhile. Come in prayer to the pullover place that causes your heart to smile.
Mark 6:31 And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.
It is good to recognize those in our life that makes the air sweeter around us. They may need an encouraging word all they do is appreciated. We all have special people in our life that make the world a better place. Lord help us to communicate our love and respect for their contribution and their service to You and to others.
When you think of a rose on the vine, Its sweet aroma immediately comes to mind. They are an appreciated gift; On special occasions to your spirit lift. Unless under special care all their petals fall. The sweet aroma leaves last of all.
There are many in God’s kingdom like this. They are like the rose and too are a special gift. Lovely, sweet aroma comes from their life. Their hearts are filled with praise to the Lord Jesus Christ. Petals fall here and there, As their aroma is with others shared. God is pleased with them. but at times they do not believe it is so. They feel useless and almost invisible. Would you, could you do a favor for yourself and for them too? Tell them you love and appreciate all they have done and still do.
Ephesians 5:2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering
and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.
Romans 12:10 Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;
I love to enter into the presence of my Lord. In my times of prayer I know He hears every word I say. I admit at times I really do not know always how to pray.. Some sound even to my ears more of a complaint. I am glad God loves to hear my voice, and I am thrilled when in the silence I not only feel His presence but hear the still small voice that brings comfort or peace within.
The Sounds of Prayer
Prayer of some to the listening ear, Sounds like music…. pleasant to hear. The words flow like honey sweet; Full of hope to the situation meet. Some utter requests haltingly… not quite clear, Uncertain of the correct words for desires most dear. Some speak without much flair, In simple sentences they state their prayers. Some are prayer warriors… fluent when all alone, In the privacy of their own home. Some send up mini-prayers the day throughout, Commenting on whatever they are feeling or thinking about. Some ask with a rush of feelings overcome with great emotion. Some pray automatically with great devotion. It does not really matter…. do not let it cause concern within. What matters is Jesus, your Savior, now calls you friend. He hears every word…and even inspires some words you speak. But it is hearts words that He really seeks.
Romans 8:26-27 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
I have thrown food together and it may turn out pretty tasty, but most of the time it is impossible to do it the same again. My family is sure to tell me if it not as good as they remembered it to be. I have learned it is much better to use a recipe. I know some that seem to just go with the flow of life and do not take the time it takes to learn how to be a pleasing taste to our Lord. I know one thing God does not enjoy the lukewarm!
The Taste Test
Most follow a recipe when a meal is prepared to guide them. Some just randomly choose as they toss things in. But directions are needed for consistency in flavor and texture; Great care is required to the correct ingredients measure. The end results are judged by the test of taste. Or your efforts could find disgrace and become a waste. This is a true story even in God’s realm my friend. When your life is finished you will be tested by Him. There is a recipe…read it and you will see. That Jesus provided all that you need. With His help there is so way of disgrace; For with Him within there is no mistake. Wise cooks remember the directions so when it turns out right, They can easily again cause others delight. Read the Word …do as Jesus did. When you obey the Word you are by the Spirit led. You will become all that God desires you to be, A joy to Him and an example to foe, friends, and family, Come taste and see that God is good, And you too turn out the way you should.
Psalms 119:103 How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!
I have always been a little strong willed; now I am strong willed for Jesus. I set my face like flint to do the will of the One that is my help in every way.
Set your heart and fix your face, Steadily walk ahead and its way embrace. The hard path is not walked alone, God leads the way home. The easy way full of joy and love will be, Well lighted and well-marked for thee. Fixed: with a heart that continues to praise, That will not allow life to pull you astray. Keep on walking My friend. You will be victorious in the end. Will you fear defeat or will you proclaim, Fixed for full healing in Jesus’ name?
I will fix my face, I will not stray. I will heed God’s Word and its instructions obey. I will not allow the poison of world opinion pull me down. I watch for Your help to pull me to higher ground. I fix my face to continue to do as ordained. Indeed a conqueror, all praise and glory goes to Jesus’s name.
Psalms 57:7 My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: Isaiah 50:7 I will sing and give praise. For the Lord God will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed.
