Dance with Your Soul’s Lover

dancingwithjesus

I love to dance heart to heart with the One I adore.  It is especially sweet to know He loves it too. Maybe my legs do not work as well as they used too; but I am dancing nevertheless in the Spirit with the Lover of my soul.

Dance with Your Soul’s Lover

Dance with your soul’s lover as you heed His Word.
Rejoice in your exalted position obeying what you have heard.
Live life at its fullest; enjoy God’s sweet caress.
He that loves you watches out for your best.
Practice in His presence, discover what pleases Him.
Walk in the Spirit as He leads and guides from within.
Worship, and sing songs of praise and you will see
That His strength and His power you have received.
Prepare your heart for change and train your life to serve;
Be a soul lover and show another the wisdom heard.
Plant seeds of righteousness and seeds of peace too,
And seeds of God’s goodness will grow tall inside of you.
Dance like David danced before his King,
Allow the love of Jesus to cause your heart to sing.
Love will pick you up and carry you into eternal life anew;
One forever with Jesus the Word that was planted deep inside of you

Psalms 149:3
Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp.

2 Samuel 6:14
And David danced before the LORD with all his might; and David was girded with a linen ephod.

Helpless, Hopeless, and Torn By Brenda Drake

            We are so busy with our everyday life; we sometimes forget to be about our Father’s business.  What is our Father’s business?  Loving one another; when we truly love others we will be sensitive to the hurt of those around us.  Lord, help us to recognize the torn flowers that are amongst us we pray.

  Helpless, Hopeless, and Torn

She is lonely deep within,
Wondering how she arrived at the state she is in.
Alone in a world with such contrasting flavors,
Putrid and sour, and the other, hopefully savored.
The darkness around is black, foreboding indeed.
Surrounded by starving souls with physical and spiritual need,
You may not recognize her at first glance;
For, she cleverly and expertly puts on her mask.
She is quiet around strangers and hesitant to befriend.
So high is her walls of protection, not many are allowed in.
Watch for her my children; she is the torn flower in your midst,
That seeks with all her heart to be missed.
Yes she is the one ratted by the unfairness of life.
She is the one reviled in man’s sight.
Her lovers wear wrongly the name.
They are users and abusers by their actions proclaimed.
Perhaps you have passed by her unaware;
But the next time you see her please tell her, her God cares.

I John 4:8-7-8
Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.  He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

Even in the Valley

Even in the valley God is there.
In every situation He hears your prayers.
He is your help in fire, flame or flood.
He is the Truth and the Way; God is good.
At your highest or your lowest all the same,
There is no place or circumstance barred to Jesus’ name.
Jesus is the Word of God that spoke from the cross to man.
In His sacrifice, in your souls deepest valley, He reached out His hand.
Do you need wisdom, are you afraid?
Are you confused, or disappointed in decisions made?
Are you lonely, and have need for a friend?
Are you overburdened with troubles within?
Are you searching for something but you do not know
What it is you need to bring comfort to your soul?
Is sadness your companion night and day the same?
There is help call out Jesus’ name.
Even if your valley is deeper than is described in the words above.
Call out to Jesus; it is all covered in the realms of His love.

Psalms 34:18-19
The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart;
and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.
Many are the afflictions of the righteous:
but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.

A Little Does Much By Brenda Drake

            The Creator made a tree fit into a little seed.  There is a harvest with every seed of kindness we plant in His kingdom work. Words are seeds, and actions are seeds also. I marvel when I think of His Word planted in our hearts, and the work He accomplished in our behalf on the cross.  I am overjoyed at His victory over death.  I am humbled at the realization He is still at work in heaven praying for us each day.

A Little Does Much

Just a ray of light helps the lost find,
The way out of darkness; leaving fear behind.
A word of encouragement makes the faint-hearted strong.|
A smile of approval encourages someone along.
A reaching hand can pull from the miry clay.
All it takes is a little love and kindness to chase loneliness away.
A modest assistance can help the poor to lift his head.
A little hope offered can carry off someone’s dread
Brings great harvest in return.
Just one life offered to do God’s work can accomplish much;
Brokenness is made whole by just their touch.
As a ray of sunshine your life can be.
Reach out and touch someone be a light for me

Romans 15:1-2
We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.  Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.

Matthew 5:14-16
Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.  Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.  Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

He is Beautiful By Brenda Drake

He is Beautiful

There are so many things to see;
Colors lovely displayed endlessly.
The sky’s blue some say,
Although, countless color combinations are on display.
Mountains are tinted green, brown or white;
Or blue, pink, or purple to cause delight.
Water appears blue, brown or green too.
Lovely shades of trees, grasses, and flowers can amaze you.
But when a glimpse approaches to reveal,
The heaven’s magnificent treasure and His touch you feel;
There is nothing that can compare to Him.
All life’s treasures originate in Him.
He is beautiful.. in wonder you become aware,
That so amazingly beautiful is also the gift He shares.
His love offered His life to give life to save the lost.
He suffered to pay our debt of sin on the cross.
Jesus you are beautiful… so beautiful, it is all my heart can say.
All I am and ever will be is invested in His name.
I am free to live with eyes able now to behold,
All the beauty that this life holds.
I am now able to recognize the One that lights the way for me,
So His beauty is evident in all that I see

John 8:12
Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

It All Depends on Faith By Brenda Drake

prayer sunshine schutzengel-artikelbild

            I walked toward my future in complete ignorance before Christ.  I did not care to discover spiritual matters.  The life in sin is the most blinding, mind-dulling and foolish place.  When I started to desire purpose; Jesus revealed His plan and purpose for my life.  Now each step I take is walked by trusting Him thankful for what He already has done for me.

All Depends on Faith

You walk into tomorrow by faith, for you see
It is not by your power you get there; you must depend on me.
Your every breath is counted and is by God supplied,
Because of His love you are alive.
The saved soul takes each step;
With faith and with confidence.
They have life in every stride they take.
Jesus is one with them, and He is Life and Way.
By faith you receive everything you need,
Place your trust in God; it is as a planted seed.
Prayer makes requests,
Asking and believing for God’s best.
By faith you also know He hears,
So fear and worry disappears.
In every need ask, believe, and have faith each day.
Walk into tomorrow’s sunshine through the test of today.

Ephesians 2:8-9
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

God Seeks Broken Vessels By Brenda Drake

      I  beleived I was not good enough to be God’s child.  I never felt I was strong or wise enough to serve Him.   I was right I am not good enough or strong enough; but He is.  It is His good pleasure to love and use me to help further His kingdom.  He indeed deserves all the glory.

God Uses Broken Vessels

High on the list of attributes God needs
In vessels chosen to His love receive,
Sounds strange to the world no doubt;
It is broken vessels that are thrown out.
I do not search the land for the one ornate,
High and lifted up in the exalted place,
For in their earthly beauty there is great stench,
They would ruin the sweet water heaven sent.
The wretched mass empty of all worth,
That is called a disgrace upon the earth,
I call to be mine, I make them new.
The Holy Spirt inside moves.
He makes a sweet smelling, beautiful treasure;
A glory that brings me great pleasure.
Filled to overflow with sweet waters flow,
Sent to heal yet another broken, empty soul.
I do things in a different way,
I search for those hopeless, damaged and decayed.
I am Savior, I died so this could be so.
I love to take nothing to make it whole.
So come as you are, do not be afraid I turn my face.
For this is what is meant by amazing grace.

Psalms 34:18
The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart;
and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

Creation and Salvation Story By Brenda Drake

road-to-salvation-illustration_csp18021525

Creation and Salvation Story

I’ll tell the Creation and Salvation story easy to understand;
How much God loves His creation… man.
God made man and formed him Eve as wife.
He gave him the world to enrich his life.
All was under man’s domain except one tree.
This was to show God’s authority.
It was the only thing forbade to him;
If he partook of it…It would be sin.
The serpent beguiled Eve to listen to what he said.
She believed and the forbidden fruit also to Adam fed.
Their disobedience chose a different master – but wage of sin was death.
The spirit man was severed from God only the natural man was left.
God’s love for man promised a Savior that would come.
Through the lineage of David, He would send His Son.
Because of the death penalty man lost fellowship with God above.
When Jesus died and rose again He paid sin’s debt with His blood.
If man believes on Him and what He has done in their place,
They are forgiven;  pure and restored to the Father under grace.
As they submit and the Spirit of God inside receive,
They are reborn into God’s Kingdom when they believe.
They are new, restored and a precious sight to God above.
Brought into their rightful place ruled by Jesus’ love;
They now live for Him and will do as He has done on earth.
They die to self-will to do the Father’s will to help others find rebirth.

John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
