The Promised One

So great are the promises to the redeemed. Our minds spin at the beauty of a love that chose to die to make us one with Him.  My heart aches in anticipation as I watch for the return of Jesus, the Promised One.

The Promised One

The One that loves more than the mind can comprehend,
Is the One that created the world and beyond for Him.
He that is perfect selects for Himself a bride,
Someone perfected to rule and reign at His side.
He who takes the imperfect and makes them new and whole,
Is, perfectly and completely in full control.
The promises are too numerous to count;
So great, so powerful is the amount.
So pure, so true, and wonderful are the blessings prepared,
Many are the jewels God wants to share.
A promising future, a clean slate for the past,
A joy that will an eternity last,|The Promise Giver is the Promised One,
Given to the world and to a part of humanity become.
Fully God and yet fully man.
The Promise of Life eternal ….great is God’s plan.

Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
2 Peter 1:4-8

All is Known but Not All Know By Brenda Drake

I remember wondering as a small child does God know me.  If He was real I wondered why He would not speak to me. Now I know not only did God know me, He knew me in my mother’s womb.  Not only does He hear me, He speaks to me in countless ways.  He loves every person born and not born.  Jesus died to pay the debt of sin so we could partake in the holy, eternal future planned for His creation to live in His presence.

All is known but Not All Know

The lonely soul forlornly sitting in a chair,
Wondering if there is anyone that is aware and cares,
The mother struggling to raise their young right,
With fading strength in a never-ending fight.
The young man or woman that feels only dread,
When they plan for the future they see ahead.
The war-torn survivor of sickness or shame,
Those that have little of value except their good name.
The loving soul that loves to love,
That has not yet found the truth to the way above.
The proud or obnoxious one that blows like the wind,
That pushes and shoves affection away him.
The widow who cries herself to sleep,
The strong self-sufficient one that refuses to weep,
The Ones slammed by disaster knocking at the door.
And those who are like a storm that does not care anymore.
The one that speaks loud things,
That sputters and dishonors everyone and everything.
The child with heart repented and eyes opened wide,
To allow God’s wisdom and strength inside.
All those that walk, talk, live, think, and feel
The One that loved, lived, and died for them desires to heal.
All are known and loved and cared for.
But not all know or feel the love of the Lord.

Psalms 147:5
Great is our Lord, and of great power:
his understanding is infinite.

Psalms 139:1-6
O Lord, thou hast searched me, and known me. Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off. Thou compassest my path and my lying down,
and art acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word in my tongue,
but, lo, O Lord, thou knowest it altogether. Thou hast beset me behind and before,
and laid thine hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;
it is high, I cannot attain unto it.
