Father’s Day is Here

Busy people run to and fro;
With calendars filled and with cups that overflow.
Dad goes one way and mother another
Children need attention to life’s meanings discover.
Father’s day is here ….what can you do?
To show him what he means to you?
Young hearts create a drawing or a handmade treasure,
In hope to convey inner thoughts to cause him pleasure
Father’s day is here …what can you do?
To show him what he means to you?
The thing of most value when the day is done
Is sometimes just love and respect from daughter or son,
There is a card, a gift, and perhaps even a cake,
But mutual love and respect all the difference makes.
In the busy world you will find,
That this is a very good use of time
Father’s day honors as it is meant to do
As you love and respect your earthly father
You love and respect your heavenly Father too.
Busy parents and children running to and fro,
Just need to take some extra time to their love for one another show,
Open lines of communication can start on this special day
For your heavenly Father is also listening to the words you pray
