Celebrate! By Brenda Drake

The tomb emptied so our hearts can be filled.

Celebrate!

Great -day! Wondrous revelations are understood,
He has risen: He that died on the piece of wood.
The tomb was empty; it just held the rags that bound.
No other evidence within was found
Sweet joy still floods the heart when this miracle is comprehended;
The truth dawns that the battle fought has ended.
Taste your victory; your triumph over sin and shame
All accomplished by Jesus’ name
He has risen! Let your voice sing loud and clear,
Loud enough the world can its message hear.
Clap your hands and dance, rejoice you now perceive,
All that your Lord accomplished on the cross for thee.
Let the joy and peace of God flood your soul.
Allow His love to enter and to within you overflow.

Psalms 9:2
I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High.

John 16:22
And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.

How Far Could He See? By Brenda Drake

            Oh how my mind struggles to grasp a love that chose to become sin to free us from sin. This love left heaven’s glory to pay a debt we could not pay.  When we begin to comprehend the greatest love story of all times, in awe we in wonder just how far He could see?

How Far Could He See?

He was sorely beaten, upon His head a crown of thorns roughly placed;
Great nails pierced His flesh and the beard torn from His face.
Placed on a rugged cross with a sign clearly to be seen,
By a sea of faces: crying, mocking, evil, and mean.
Lifted up with two thieves…one on each side,
As a mass of people waited for them to die.
From the cross; upon His back every sin of every man was known;
The perfect Son of God called each sin His own.
How far could He see, is the question asked.
He saw right now right where you are at.
He saw far into the future and as far back as sin’s start.
He accepted the penalty of all sin so He could reign again in our heart.
Every sin, every shame, and all inability;
He saw and paid for at Calvary.
Great is the day when our opened eyes can fully know,
He rose alive on the third day so His life through us will overflow.

Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

1 Corinthians 6:20
For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.

2 Corinthians 5:21
For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Life is Stronger By Brenda Drake

There was one thing I never wanted to talk about; Death: I was petrified of it.  I still am nor fond of it, and surely wish there was no such thing, but I am not now traumatized thinking of it anymore for my Lord promises never to leave me or forsake me.  He will be with me when I walk through that door. What a wonderful work Jesus did for us on the cross.  He not only paid our debt of sin but He showed us just how He would help us conquer death by the example of His victory on resurrection day.

Life is Stronger

Life is stronger than death when you belong to Christ.
Life lives on when in God you delight.
Eternal life with Jesus is as walking through the opened door.
Death’s fear has no threat anymore.
Jesus is Life and The Way,
He is Savior in every way.
He chose to take your place,
So you could His eternal life embrace.
The power of resurrection loosed death’s hold and the soul released.
Because of Jesus’ sacrifice there lies ahead perfect peace.
The power of Jesus over the grave,
Is life-giving truth you are from its hold saved.
Jesus died and rose again to rescue the lost.
All who believe and come by way of the cross,
Have the same hope in their final quest,
Because of Jesus they rest in His promises.
Those not acquainted with the truth that sets them free,
Are not able to His resurrection-power receive.
They will die only to live without God in their life;
A hellish existence forever without Christ.
God so loved the world He sent His Son Jesus to die in our place.
Whosoever will believe will receive His amazing grace.
They too will be of God’s family a part.
Never to be separated again from the Father’s heart.

1 Corinthians 15:55-57
Death, where is your victory? Death, where is your sting?
Now the sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.
But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!
