When I Say Your Name
When I say Your name my heart sings a song new.
A love song composed in joint effort between me and You.
When I think on the Word my mind is stretched.
Never am I able to fully comprehend much of it.
When I share Your name it is as a gift bestowed;
Its value to the listening ear is like strands of gold.
The truth of Your name is rock-solid strong and sure.
To grasp hold of its promise is wisdom secured.
At the name of Jesus demons flee.
At the name of Jesus captives are set free.
At His name sickness and pain,
Are cast aside; their threat of forever cannot remain.
When the name of Jesus is uttered in disrespect,
Certain shame remains with need to repent.
At the mention of His name, believers stop to hear;
For His name is beauty, hope, and promise to their ear.
When I say Jesus my heart bursts into songs again,
With heart in tune with eternity, I say His name again.
One day Jesus will say our name loud and clear.
With whispered love He will draw us near.
No sweeter sound will be than this:
When He says, well done, I will have received heavens kiss.
Jude 20-21
But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
Colossians 3:16-17
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
