Many times I have been comforted by a word of encouragement in a troubling time. But it is a deeper, more rewarding comfort when I have received timely help from someone without even a delivered word. I am encouraged when someone says they will pray for me, but it touches deeper in my heart when they spontaneously just pray.
Actions are Louder than Words
Actions are louder than words, louder than what you say is what you do.
To profess without works is untruth.
To say “I love you neighbor” and to walk away in their need,
Is to say “I want a harvest without planting a seed”.
To say you care for the one lonely – the forlorn and afraid;
But stay home your cheering is like offering a cake unbaked.
To say you will pray and then you forget,
Is like saying you will help cleanse them without getting wet.
If you say, I will help you, I will do this or that;
But instead you do not, what good is in the act?
Words that are kind and generous are never to be laid aside.
Words that uplift should always remain alive.
The one that truly loves will water what is sown.
Words need action they do not stand-alone.
Make sure to take the time,
To do the generous thing in mind.
When you love in word and in deeds as well,
A great work will be accomplished that God’s glory tells.
What Jesus said he did, and He did what He said,
Do as the Word says, for you are the body and Christ is the head.
Words speak loud, but not as loud as the deed done.
This is truth delivered from the Spirit of God’s Son.
James 3:13
Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.
