Matthew 6:33
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Luke 18:22
Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.

Free to Follow

With great possessions freedom to move is hard to do,
For much time is spent protecting what is connected to you.
When you fill your life with many obligations,
When opportunity calls there is greater need for hesitation.
When burdened with others that speak into your life their plans,
It can be confusing and certain discontentment makes demands.
You become out of sorts; work and play-time is affected.
Your touch for the Lord will be fruitless and ineffective.
When you live simply there is greater peace,
You are not overcome with worry; freedom is increased.
I do not say you need to live in hardship with lack,
I do say live nicely on the right path.
Some say prosperity means houses and possessions of much wealth,
But true prosperity rests in God’s provision that includes your health.
Some say God desires them to live humbly poor.
It is better to live richly humble in service to the Lord.
One extreme to another extreme is professed.
The Word says, seek first His kingdom and He provides the rest.

I am rich in the favor of the Lord, in Him is found all I need and more.

Taste of Freedom By Brenda Drake

            We struggle to keep and fight for our freedom to live our lives without censorship, and unnecessary, weighty-control.  God gives us freedom to choose Jesus’ sacrifice in our behalf, or to choose to pay our debt of sin on our own.  The truest taste of freedom is when a soul is set free from the bondage of sin.

Taste of Freedom

The sweet taste of freedom many yearn to savor;
Where there is harmony and peace and God’s favor.
Then there are those unknowingly let it go,
Little by little it disappears, painlessly slow.
Some are blinded by the process and cannot see,
Until it is almost too late to be reprieved.
Come into the place,
Where freedom lives under God’s hand of grace.
You are free from the debt of sin;
It has been taken care of by Him.
You are free to worship and set free to sing,
The songs of salvation of Christ Jesus the King.
You are free in spirit even in the world’s woes;
Free indeed in heart, mind, and soul.
Set free to express and to share,
With a world in bondage the truth, God truly cares.
The sweet taste of freedom is greater when God heals the land.
All the glory comes from and is delivered back to I AM as planned.

Isaiah 61:1
The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound

2 Chronicles  7:14
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

From the Evil Path Set Free By Brenda Drake

I have walked the path of least resistance many times.  I made the excuse of wanting to live a peace filled life.  It really was a lukewarm way of trying to fit in the world. I am glad my Lord will not make excuses for my evil ways and He is faithful to point out my inconsistencies.

From the Evil Path Set Free

Where the road leads they travel with the flow.
It is decided by the majority which way they go.
They have favorite saying that justify their stand;
Things like, “It was meant to be” or “It was out of my hands.”
It is almost unthinkable to cause a godly stir,
Even to be more convincing they will use God’s Word.
Such as “I must live in peace,” or” I must love my brother,”
“There is not anyone any better than another.”
“All fall short and all are sinners,” or Everybody makes mistakes.”
They will say, “I cannot push too hard or the reed will break.”
Yes there are many good answers that give good excuse,
For a sinful or lazy attitude; a passive life of no real use
But you will find some travel in the opposite direction.
They disrupt the flow at every intersection.
They are a constant obstacle that the world hates to see.
These are the one in service to me.
They say what God’s Word says, they do as Jesus did.
They do the opposite of what the world is.
They give instead of hording they look up instead of down.
They guard closely the truth, they stand their ground.
They angrily will fight to help out another,
And they will hold out their arms for a cover.
They cause disturbance in the heavenly for their prayers go before them.
They trust their leader Jesus and they adore Him.
Their lives are given to live for Him who died so they could be.
From the flow of the evil world’s path set free.

Matthew 7:12
Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:  Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
