So much is happening in the world about us. With so many different opinions, troubles, and changes taking place; at times we are almost in a fog.  We may hate the way we feel but seem to have lost our ability to fight.  Jesus is our answer. We need to remember, to be victorious we need to trust and rely on Him.  

Rely on Him

Awakened from a slumber deep;
Awake but still desiring to sleep.
The mind is fogged with thoughts unclear;
But your spirit within struggles to God’s wisdom hear.
The world about you feels the same way,
They are weary as they attempt to pray.
So tired of all the things not right;
So upset but feels almost too tired to fight.
Admit your needs to the One who cares.
Admit and repent to Him your feelings share.
He is the one, who puts a fire within,
Rely on His help.  Rely on Him.
When weariness inside feels wrong,
As you come in devotion I make you strong.
Many who are discouraged do not know,
Jesus will help, if allowed control.
Weakness leads to depression, with little hope in sight.
When overcome by the enemy of their soul, they lose the will to fight.
When you feel you can hardly awake stay,
Remember your strength comes when you obey and pray.

Psalms 28:7-8
The Lord is my strength and my shield;my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him. The Lord is their strength,
and he is the saving strength of his anointed.

Isaiah 40:28
He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.

There are times when life and its complications cause a certain dread, especially when there seems to be no clear answers in sight. The best remedy is to go to the Word of God to be reminded God is not caught off guard and we can and must trust He loves us and is in complete control.

A Strange Thing Occurs

Father the world is talking loud threats,
Of sure difficulties that lies ahead.
My heart hurts at the loss I see on every side;
From financial strain and for families and for them who die.
Confusing, mind-blowing whistle-blowing words circle and attack.
It seems there are very little we can know are facts.
In my quiet times when I travel to God’s Word,
A very strange and wonderful thing occurs,
My heart is settled as in your care I rest.
Again I find the truth and it again I confess.
My God is able and on Him I depend;
All things on earth and in heaven bows down to Him.
I am firmly in His sight and on His mind.
My God loves to spend with me time.
Life’s complications are handled in the way best,
So the outcome of it all will turn for the best.
He is in control and it is already written what will come,
So in Jesus name I pray. Lord thy will be done.
In my life and in the world that seems to be in such chaos and whoa,
I will listen instead to the Spirit that brings peace and confidence to my soul.

Isaiah 26:3-4
Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace,
whose mind is stayed on thee:
because he trusteth in thee.
 Trust ye in the Lord for ever:
for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength:

Psalms 3:3
But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me;
my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.
