Separated By Division By Brenda Drake

Churches need to join together in this troubled world, working in one accord to do the work set before us. We have no right to run down each other because of different doctrines, or be concerned how we differ in how we praise, worship or serve the Lord. We need to concentrate on all the things we agree on and work together to defeat the enemy that is always at work to tear us apart and get us off course. The bible says, they will know we are Christians by our love. Jesus went so far as to say we are to love our enemy, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you. How much more should we love, and join together with those that are on the same team, When truly a Christ follower even in many denominations we are one body, one Church, with Jesus our Lord as the head.

Separated by Division

Brothers and sisters should not be separated with divisions.
We are all healed Lord with Your provision.
Speak in the dark hours to each soul,
Teach Your ways; make us whole.
Father I know there are hurts that need to be addressed,
And deep wounds and bitterness’s,
And dark things that haunt them in the night;
I believe you can make things turn out right.
Father soften hard hearts so they can feel again.
And help harden hearts against sin.
Only the Holy Spirit can this work in us do.
So I bring the Churches in prayer to You.
Give us a glimpse of what really matters in life,
So we clearly can see the foolishness that causes strife.
Help us to recognize the subtleness of pride’s touch.
So we can repent, learn to forgive again, to show to the world Your love.
I pray for harmony and peace to sisters and brothers.
So we will have true fellowship with one another.
I will truly try to lay this all in Your care,
And watch faithfully for answered prayers.

Matthew 12:25
And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:

Drop Into My Heart By Brenda Drake

It took a while for me to realize I am unable to do anything of value without the Lord’s help.  I count on His help in everything for now I know my limitations;   I am weak, selfish, and not all that smart; but I also recognize He is shown strong in my weakness.

Drop into my Heart

Drop into my heart all the wisdom I need for this day.
Give me ability to reach and for another pray.
Live loud in me as I proclaim,
The power and majesty of Jesus’ name.
Let it be your light that shines;
To assure and help another as they seek to the treasure find.
Speak loud through me your life-giving word,
So it is truly a message from heaven heard.
Steady my step, pave ahead my path,
Give me authority to conquer every foe where I am at.
As I draw near this day for my daily supply,
Fill me up with your goodness on high.
With your love, your kindness, your understanding deep,
Your joy, your strength and abiding peace.
Every morsel that you share with this vessel of clay,
I will attempt to give away.
As you drop wisdom in my heart I am able to flow,
Successfully with you from soul to soul.
This request is huge and I almost wonder at my plea.
But this I know, it is your passion that I seek.
It is your love, your touch, and words I crave,
So I will just believe I receive the requests I have made.

Psalms 28:7
The Lord is my strength and my shield;
my heart trusted in him, and I am helped:
therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth;
and with my song will I praise him.

The Measure that is True By Brenda Drake

We have a tendency to look at how far we need to go to be like Jesus.  The evil one is sure to point out everything that does not measure up.  Our worth needs to be seen by the light of the Word of God.  When we allow God’s truth inside, it indeed will set us free.
The truth is God loved us before we loved Him.  Jesus died to set us free from the bondage of sin.  The truth is…. Grace saves us, not our own goodness.  We are saved by Jesus’s work on the cross, not by our own works of the flesh. When we compare ourselves with others, we may come away feeling condemned and greatly lacking.  When we measure ourselves by the sacrifice on our behalf, we will know that God loves every person with the same passion.  We do not need to feel inferior or jealous of another again.

The Measure That Is True

Measure yourself not by others, but from where you have come.
Do not look at another to see how well you have done.
For always, you will see the example that makes you feel small.
The most important thing is God loves all.
You are just as large in His sight as the one you so admire.
You are dressed in the very same attire.
The same robe of righteousness was placed upon each back.
When you have accepted Jesus, you have no lack.
Measure what you are by the only measure that is true.
The measure of your worth is the work of the One that died for you.
In the Father’s eyes, He sees you tall and pure.
There is no need to fear when you are in God secured.
See how far you have come – the great changes that have taken place.
The old man is no more; you are born anew under grace.
Love one another and appreciate how far they have come too.
Be glad and rejoice for you both in the same Spirit move.

Ephesians 4:4-7
There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.  But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.
