It is wise to not always say what is on our mind. Words can cause much damage and are impossible to take back.  If we speak the Word of God or words that not contrary to what is good and right we will be better off, and will cause us less trouble and shame.

When You Have a Mind

When you have a mind to do it, you follow through.
What matters is, what or who inspires to make you move?
When your mind is upon Jesus and the Word of God you seek,
When you have the mind of Christ it is His will you speak.
Many times you need to examine what caused you to do or say.
When it is self, emotions get in the way.
When it is the devil that gets rule of your tongue,
You can be sure no good is done.
Where is your mind resting, on worry, stress, or fear?
If so, you can be sure your mouth will make your intentions clear.
With your mind on God and His love, peace, and joy you will be,
A voice in the wilderness that leads to Me.
Many say, I have a mind to tell them just how I feel.
Make sure it is the kind of words that can mend and heal.
Another saying, I have a notion to give them a piece of my mind,
It is wise if it is something that help to the truth of Christ find.
Follow your heart is another saying that is spoken much,
But only if your heart allows Jesus to rule is it of value to trust.

This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.  For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. Galatians 5:16-17

Chapter 4

There are times when a glimpse of our wonderful future helps us get through our present situation.  The joy of such glorious revelations makes life smell like sure victory. 

Glorious Day Ahead

Oh glorious morning when the new day shines;
When Jesus my Savior is forever more mine,
When the birds and the flowers sing their song clear,
And only joy and peace rings in my ear,
Oh glorious sunshine that He shines on me,
His new faithful bride for all eternity,
Such love and compassion flows from His eyes.
Never again to be hindered or disguised,
Oh glorious sweetness surrounds me complete,
As I kneel in adoration at His feet.
All praise and glory to my God I give,
For only because of His work in my behalf can I live.
Joy flows like a river bubbling deep within,
Never to be touched or tainted again with sin.
So great is this place ahead I see,
That my God has planned for me,
That it shines much brighter than the present day.
Only then do all the fears melt away.
On glorious morning after the gathering takes place,
When the redeemed are rescued by God’s saving grace.

Chapter 1

The truth of Salvation is beautiful to comprehend; and it is life-changing when allowed to enter our heart. Love for our Creator and for our fellow man is proof we are indeed a part of His masterpiece the Church.  We know we are not made beautiful in the Father’s eyes by our own works but by Jesus’ work on the cross in our behalf.

Masterpiece Created

A masterpiece was created from a lump of clay;
All of heaven’s treasures within him displayed.
Perfect without flaw, beautiful in the Creators eye,
Lovely, without blemish, eternally with life supplied.
He was marked with Divinity in each and every line.
Forever indelibly with God’s signature signed.
Evil beheld the perfection and hated it so much,
It reached out its claw to such perfection touch.
Sin marred God’s masterpiece with the fatal blow;
To separate with death from the Creator of their soul.
The Master is master in every way.
He always knew His creation would His word disobey.
He provided the way for the damned to see,
Salvation for all who choose to believe.
He calls out for the lost to come,
Into the holy provision of God’s Son.
He paid the price so they could be forever assured,
The sacrifice of Jesus has the connection secured.
He shapes the born again as His masterpiece;
To be His forever from sins hold set free.

John 3:3
