Dancing on the Wings of the Wind By Brenda Drake

            How can we describe the supernatural love connection between God and His redeemed? I am not sure, but I will spend the rest of my life trying.  His presence is so precious each time it is experienced, it is never the same and yet it is always the same; pure, lovely, and fully satisfying.

Dancing on the Wings of the Wind

Dancing on the wings of the wind joyfully in song,
Fluidly in tune with Him right where I belong.
Closer than a heart-beat, closer than a breath;
In, over, and under me, behind and ahead,
The sounds of love and life fills the atmosphere,
Not one tainted thought not of light is near.
Holy, precious, and loving in every way,
With a forever-future with Jesus; His and His to stay.
Jesus is in my heart and surrounds me, this I surely know;
Each day is a new day I start new on earth below.
But when dark winds blow I by faith need to see,
God’s plan ahead ordained for me.
His Word promises me sunshine with joy left untold;
When we walk together on the streets of gold.
His promised treasures and the pleasures are sure to come.
I pray in Jesus name God’s will on earth be done.
Today is a new day I in faith take each step,
Toward the joys of the new world He has planned for me ahead.

Song of Songs 7:10
I am my beloved’s, and his desire is toward me.

Do You Your Child Resist By Brenda Drake

Whisper: Trust that I am a good Father.

2 Corinthians 1:20
For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen,
unto the glory of God by us.

Do You Your Child Resist?

When you tell your child “Come and I will assist”
Do you when they obey resist their requests?
When you plan for their future, do you plant along the way,
Some very unpleasant things for them in their days?
When your child comes to spend time with you,
Do you trouble and make it unpleasant as you ridicule?
When you promise good do you secretly another way plan?
Is it your intention to make it hard for your child to understand?
Now this seems a little silly, in fact it is as an insult to your ear.
But this is a truth I desire for you to hear.
I plan good for you. The things you perceive as bad that comes,
Is not a trick delivered to you by God’s Son.
I am your helper in the world full of sin.
I am your Savior, your Lord, and your friend.
I am your high-tower in life’s storms.
I am your bridegroom that wants to adorn.
I favor you, it is good in every way;
So be assured by the Word expect good things when you pray.

I give thanks and praise for all things good comes from You.

He Finds Great Pleasure By Brenda Drake

     The earth is filled with beauty; God stated all Creation as good.  He loves every part of it all… it is as He designs.  He never tires, and is pleased with every living soul.  Every moment is filled with the wonder of it all. We must rejoice in the celebration of life, and the eternal celebration of New Life in Salvation.

He Finds Great Pleasure

When the willow blows in the wind,
When the palm trees bend,
When the ripened apple falls to the ground floor,
When the child of God prays to the Lord,
When the birds sing their songs of praise,
When the child of God changes their evil ways,
When the flower’s bloom fades and willingly falls to the ground,
When the autumn leaves joyfully blow around,
When the stars and the moon shares their glow,
When the angels sing at every new-born soul,
When the air sparkles with promised rain,
When a child of God is freed from their chains,
When the new-born baby cries,
When an earth-dweller warrior dies,
When the love of a father for son is revealed,
When a cancer-sick soul is healed,
When time has passed and new eternal life begins,
When there is a holy reunion of family and friends,
When the heavens and earth dance and rejoice it is done,
And there is new rule under the Son,
God never tires, all is known and felt, and on His mind.
He finds in it all great pleasure in His design.

Psalms 104:31
The glory of the Lord shall endure for ever:
the Lord shall rejoice in his works.

Heart’s Cry By Brenda Drake

Whisper: I hear every heart’s cry.

Luke 10:27
And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul,
and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.

John 13:34
A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you,
that ye also love one another.

Heart’s Cry

I believe my heart’s cry is also God’s hearts cry.
He desires families and friends to get along and so do I.
Life is fragile and precious and I have found,
We are very fortunate to still be around.
It is strange Lord how easily we tend to forget,
What matters most; help us to hold unto it:
Such as respect for others, to deny selfish ways;
The great value of positive thoughts, and words of praise.
My heart cries at the pettiness of our sinful self;
When wrong attitudes and contrary personalities rise up or creeps out.
Forgive us and remind to desire God above all things;
To place others first and thus give honor to Christ our King.
Heavy hearts are sad when self makes a stand.
Help us practice joy and peace as we hold onto Your hand.
Songs of praise and joy causes hearts to rejoice in song.
Testify of God and His ways that proves to Him You belong.
My heart’s cry is to love as Jesus did for we see,
Jesus sacrificed Himself so our heart His joy and love could receive.

You turn our cry of desire into joyful love songs of faith.

Divine Guide By Brenda Drake

What a wonderful display of love that is shown to us in the plan of Salvation. We are blessed with the gift of life and the greater gift of eternal life because of the great sacrifice of our Lord Jesus.  Jesus then sent us Holy Spirit to lead, guide, teach, and comfort us till we get there or until He returns for us.

The Divine Guide

In the womb formed,
Before the day you were born,
You were known and seen clear,
Well-loved and held most dear.
Before the world began you were on God’s mind.
So precious is His love and so great is His design.
His plan was to draw you close and make you His bride.
Jesus knew he would for your sins die.
 His love calls to Him,
To save from the grasp of sin.
His everlasting love leads and guides the way.
His Spirit teaches to obey.
He is Divine guide, Teacher, Comforter and friend,
He is the Good Shepherd that leads you from within.
The guide of the soul leads to the cross of shame,
To show the “Way“….Jesus is His name.
He saves, restores, and makes new inside.
He will never leave you as within He abides.
As you seek first His kingdom and trust His work in you,
You will abide in Him and will bear His fruit.
His fruit are sweet and causes pleasure to the soul;
Full of healthy results that prove God is in control.

1John 4:9
In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only
begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.

When Little is More Than Enough By Brenda Drake

When Little is More than Enough

A little becomes more than enough,
When it is by God’s hand touched.
Whatever you have, offer it to God above,
To be multiplied by the touch of Love.
In the Word of God many times,
There are examples to testify God’s design.
God proved time and again,
That little becomes more when entrusted to Him.
A small lunch fed multitudes…a little fish the taxes paid.
A word of authority raised a dead man from the grave.
A heart touched by the truth no longer lost remains;
But is saved, and made new and freed from chains.
Prayer moves mountains out of paths every day.
An encouraging word can chase fear away,
A tiny child that speaks faith can be,
Like a beacon-light so a blind in heart can see.
A word of rhyme jotted down,
Becomes a wealth of wisdom good and sound.
A little bit of joy fills up your life so much;
It causes pleasure to those you touch.

Luke 6:38
Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

2 Corinthians 8:15
As it is written, He that had gathered much had nothing over; and he that had gathered little had no lack.

If Love Was Visible By Brenda Drake

I know we can feel love, but can we see love?
God is love.  Love is plainly seen in the face of His Son Jesus.
How I love Him who first loved me.

If Love Was Visible

If love was visible we would see.
The softest, gentlest, feeling that could ever be.
Love’s colors are beautiful; full of kindness for others.
It is not forceful in any way; you will discover,
Words full of hope and peace it prefers.
Love’s touch is sacrificial and is willing to serve.
Love touches with as gentle a hand,
To lead and guide to the truth as it can.
As you recognize what love does and Who is Love in the Word,
You will desire show the world the truth you have heard.
Love is clearly visible….He is Jesus God’s Son;
And He can be and is seen in His chosen ones.

Ephesians 3:17-19
That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

Psalms 73:28
But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all thy works.

Unfailing Love By Brenda Drake

Romans 8:38-39
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Unfailing Love

His unfailing love fills the earth; it is displayed for all to see.
From the mountains to the plains reveal His majesty.
His sunrises and sunsets beautifully paint the sky;
Causing pleasures to the watchful eye.
The bird’s song, gentle breezes that caress the brow,
The flight of the eagle, the waving palms that bow,
The mighty cedars, the tiny seed that grows,
The cross of Calvary provided to save sinful souls.
His gentle prodding’s encourage all to come,
With fierce intense flooding soulS with His love is overcome.
His love fills the earth and enters and surrounds.
The receptive heart that has opened, self will lay down.
His joy, His praise, His strength and His power becomes,
All a part of the life of His chosen one.
Opened eyes begin to see His glory on every side;
And His unfailing love without measure for His bride.

I will give thanks to the God of heaven.  His love endures forever.

He Loves the Sinner By Brenda Drake

I am very thankful we did not need to clean up before we could accept Jesus as our Savior; but we did need to admit we were unclean and unable to save our self.  I can easily relate to the woman that knelt at the foot Jesus to adore the One that made her aware of a holy love she did not deserve.

He Loved the Sinner

He died for even those who spat and slapped His face.
He chose to wrap them in mercy and grace.
He died for the one that His name denied,
And in His mercy another name supplied.|
He died for the sinners on both sides of His cross.
One accepted His gift the other remained lost.
He died for harlots that cry on the streets.
He died for the one that chose to lie at His feet.
He died for those that push wisdom out the door;
But then later choose again to follow the Lord.
From the beginning of time and man’s introduction to sin,
The God of Heaven made provision for them.
But there are some that refuse to see,
They harden their heart to not believe.
But the truth is still the truth; for every man Jesus died.
He is and was and ever will be their supply.
But still there are those that would spit on and slap God’s face.
There are still those that reject His mercy and grace.
Still  some choose evil over the way good and right.
Many still choose darkness over light.
But there is no hatred in God’s heart for them.
He loves the sinner but He will always hate sin.

John 3:16-17
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

All is Known but Not All Know By Brenda Drake

            I remember wondering as a small child does God know me.  If He was real I wondered why He would not speak to me. Now I know not only did God know me, He knew me in my mother’s womb.  Not only does He hear me, He speaks to me in countless ways.  He loves every person born and not born.  Jesus died to pay the debt of sin so we could partake in the holy, eternal future planned for His creation to live in His presence.

All is known but Not All Know

The lonely soul forlornly sitting in a chair,
Wondering if there is anyone that is aware and cares,
The mother struggling to raise their young right,
With fading strength in a never-ending fight.
The young man or woman that feels only dread,
When they plan for the future they see ahead.
The war-torn survivor of sickness or shame,
Those that have little of value except their good name.
The loving soul that loves to love,
That has not yet found the truth to the way above.
The proud or obnoxious one that blows like the wind,
That pushes and shoves affection away him.
The widow who cries herself to sleep,
The strong self-sufficient one that refuses to weep,
The Ones slammed by disaster knocking at the door.
And those who are like a storm that does not care anymore.
The one that speaks loud things,
That sputters and dishonors everyone and everything.
The child with heart repented and eyes opened wide,
To allow God’s wisdom and strength inside.
All those that walk, talk, live, think, and feel
The One that loved, lived, and died for them desires to heal.
All are known and loved and cared for.
But not all know or feel the love of the Lord.

Psalms 147:5
Great is our Lord, and of great power:
his understanding is infinite.

Psalms 139:1-6
O Lord, thou hast searched me, and known me. Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising,thou understandest my thought afar off. Thou compassest my path and my lying down,
and art acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word in my tongue,
but, lo, O Lord, thou knowest it altogether. Thou hast beset me behind and before,
and laid thine hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;
it is high, I cannot attain unto it.
