When I think of all Jesus endured in the days before and on the cross to pay for the debt of my sin there are no words to describe my gratitude, for such an unspeakable gift of grace. The love of God for His creation is more than we can fully comprehend.
Loved by Every Drop of Blood
We were loved by every drop of blood shed upon the tree. Loved by the Holy Sacrifice offered to set captives free. Loved by every heartfelt pain Jesus endured to break our every chain. Every stripe upon His back; opened wide and raw, Was to heal every lash, caused by evil since the fall. The heavy weight of the curse of death was felt by God’s Son. Every sin’s penalty was paid when His work was done. In agony He felt the final separation. His very essence of life was given to free the Nations, “My God, why have you forsaken me,” in His last breaths “Father forgive them” He cried, “It is finished” Evil celebrated for they killed God’s Son, But, for them it was not finished; God was not done. His weeping followers would weep no more. With great joy they were astonished at the sight of their risen Lord. Jesus is alive, and is seated at the Father’s side, Soon to return, for His blood-washed, without spot or wrinkle bride. We were loved by every drop of His precious blood that flowed, So, He that formed all we see, could our life forever hold.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
One of the most wonderful things I experienced after Jesus became my Savior was a flushing, rushing feeling of a mighty river flowing inside of me. It lasted for quite a long time. I longed for it to continue forever. Perhaps it still is bubbling through me and I no longer am able to feel it. By faith I believe it is still roaring with the presence of my Lord within me.
Be as a Fountain
There is a fountain that bubbles inside deep, It flows as a river to the Saviors feet. Gather together if you will, To allow the Spirit to infill. The cup of pleasure tastes sweeter than wine, As you come to my table to dine. I will wash over you with my presence, wrong is no more. You are as pure and as clean as the risen Lord. As you bow down at the alter placed at my feet, I accept your offering and administer peace. I will pour good inside to insure you remain strong, So you are able to cope, victorious in a world gone wrong. I help you lead another to the fountain of life, As you become an ambassador for Christ. Becoming a flowing stream to quench the thirst of another lost soul A child of the living God, that from God’s fountain flows.
John 7:38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
Heavy hearts, awakened very early on that day; Before, the light arrived in its morning display. They remembered; with eyes opened wide, The past events, when the Master was alive. How can it be, that it is now time to attend To the dead body, of their dear friend? ………. What time is it? The modern one now asks on Easter morn; Before the early service, when the sun-rise the sky adorns? ………… One …had a heavy heart, That made sad preparations at the days start. The other has heart glad….in expectation they see The stories unfold; that they have committed to memory. They see by faith, the Angel that appeared. The wonder of Jesus; brings them to grateful tears. He has risen! Their songs fill the air. The stones been rolled away, and no one is there! By faith, their observance has brought it near. The truth of God’s love again reappears. ……… What time is it is asked again? As you start the day revived and renewed within. Your Lord has risen! What have you to fear? It is time to allow your life to show, the time is near, For His return; when He gathers His faithful bride. When the Father says, “Son, it’s time to draw her to your side”
Acts 1:11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye
