Actions Speak Louder than Words By Brenda Drake

James 3:13
Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.

Let my words demonstrate what I will do.
Allow my actions to my words prove.
You are the Word in me strong.
Allow my actions to cause another’s heart to burst out in song.

Actions Speak Louder than Words

 Louder than what you say is what you do;
To profess without works is untruth.
To say you love your neighbor and to walk away in their need
Is to expect a harvest without planting a seed.
To say you care for the sad, the lonely, and afraid,
Without cheering them is like offering a cake unbaked.
To say you will pray and then you forget,
Is like promising to get clean without getting wet.
If you say, I will help – I will do this or that,
But instead you do not, what good is in the act?
Words that are kind and generous are never to be laid aside;
But words that uplift should always remain alive.
The one that truly loves will water what is sown.
Words need action; they do not stand-alone.
Make sure to take the time,
To do the generous thing in mind.
When you love in word and in actions as well,
A great work will be accomplished that God’s glory tells.
Jesus did what He said, and He said what He did,
You must do the same, for you are the body and He is the head.
Words speak loud, but not as loud as the deed done.
This is truth from the Father, Spirit and the Son.

Prayer
I desire to do as Jesus did.  I follow in His footsteps, with His strength and ability to do as the Word has shown.  Faith without works I know is dead.

When Christmas Hurts By Brenda Drake

This is truly a wonderful time of year; even strangers seem to have ready smiles and greetings of good cheer.  In our excitement and bustle we forget Christmas time is lonely for many around us; life-situations have caused hurts and heartaches that have stolen the beauty of their holiday. Lord, help us to be aware of the feelings of others and remind us to lift their spirits by our prayers, love, and concern.

When Christmas Time Hurts

When Christmas-time hurts and joy has fled far away,
And there is no magic left in this once-special day.
All the sweet songs that once cheered now cause sadness within.
Oh how you would love to find pleasure in them again.
The hurting heart remembers sadly its personal loss,
And refuses to be cheered so their mind is cross.
Held in a prison unable to look outside to see,
The gift of the Christmas story that sets them free.
When Christmas-time hurts there is remedy to heal;
Its power is sure, its touch is real.
Find another person that has a heart that is down,
Do something, anything that removes their frown.
Find a little child that has lack,
Provide for them and your joy comes back.
Get your mind in things good, right, pure and true;
Set yourself to motion to the good thing do.
Bring your aching heart to the Father for His healing touch.
Renew your faith as you to Him entrust;
All the hurts, pains of this time of year,
Little by little the sweet joy and peace of Christmas reappears.

Luke 2:13-14
And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

Faith With Undying Love By Brenda Drake

Faith With Undying Love

May your heart be touched with faith and peace;
May your holy commitment to God increase.
May joy visit you each and every day,
With a grateful heart may you allow it to stay.
May light shine brighter and brighter within,
A constant beam that beckons others and draws them in,
May hope be alive and overflow,
Like a sweet balm of encouragement that reaches lost souls.
My life-new feel freer and freer each day;
May your heart be filled with worship and praise.
May your undying love be visible outside and within;
For Jesus who died for you draws you to Him.
His undying favor rests upon the redeemed new light;
Leading to the forever-place in His sight.

Ephesians 6:24
Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.

Jeremiah 31:3
The Lord hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love:
therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.
