Accomplishments By Brenda Drake

You made the meal and cleaned up the mess-
You count these as accomplishments.
But the greatest gift delivered to God on this day,
Was when you refused discouragement or to anger display.
When the day is over and you lay down to rest,
Know God has noted these as your greatest accomplishments.

Accomplishment

Your accomplishments you may not fully know yet,
They are the results of time well spent.
Loving communication, with hands busy at task,
They are the best gifts offered in fact.
Seeds are planted in the garden of love,
By open hospitality you honor God above.
When disappointment is for peace-sake placed aside,
You have displayed an attitude of Christ’s bride.
Every accomplishment is noted by the Lover of your soul.
They are written down; one day to be shown.
You truly have progress made;
When even in discomfort Christ was displayed.

Matthew 5:16
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works,and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

James 1:12
Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him

Under Construction By Brenda Drake

            No one I know really has a great handle on patience.  It is a struggle always to not lose it!  But many times we do not try at all for we are self- centered and self- serving.  None of us are finished yet, we all have a need to learn to be patient with one another.

Isaiah 43:7
Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.

Under Construction

Be prepared to stop – construction is ahead,
A work is in progress is what the sign has said.
Noise and confusion fills the air;
Showing the construction crew is there.
This illustration I show to you my friend,
To another message send.
The construction crew is busy in every life,
That has allowed the control of Jesus Christ.
There are angels at work on every side,
Assisting the progress of His bride.
Sometimes it truly looks like a terrible mess;
But be patient it isn’t finished yet.
You may even need to watch for danger signs.
Be patient, have faith – it turns out as it is designed.
Be prepared to stop and to wait a bit,
For the progress may also be to you a benefit.
If while you are waiting you begin to fret and stew,
Remember, you are under construction too.
And others may need to wait and see,
The work to be finished inside of thee.

Isaiah 64:8
But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.
