Salvation is God’s gift.  We do not deserve His mercy and we cannot earn His grace.  It is a wonderful free provision that was far from free to Jesus the Savior and Lover of our Soul.  We are invited to trust in His work in our behalf and run under His wings of grace.

Under the Roof of Grace

Come let us gather under the roof of grace.
It is there we encounter our quest to see God’s face.
Under His umbrella of eternal love is peace,
It is there in His presence you find increase.
Faith and hope dance a forever dance there;
The heart sings love songs of worship, praise and prayer.
Under the roof of grace demons cannot go.
Only the redeemed can enter, heart, mind, body, and soul.
Under the cover of grace fears cannot stay,
For, they are lifted in prayer and cast away.
Come let us gather under the provision of assured favor,
And go out again to share God’s love with our neighbor.
Who is your neighbor? Whoever your life touches that day.
You have opportunity to share the joys of mercy and grace.
Come let us gather another moment and you will see,
The roof of grace covers you wherever you will be.

Romans 6:14

Restful Waters By Brenda Drake

I used to be afraid in times of storm; I would cower under a blanket until it was over.  Then I met Jesus and I now know who is in control.  The Word of God tells of the time Jesus demanded the storm to cease.  There are storms in the spirit where it feels I will be destroyed; but I keep my eyes on Jesus – He takes care of those storms too.

Restful Waters

Jesus calms my troubled sea,
And feeds me in the presence of my enemies.
I am favored and well blessed;
Beside peaceful waters I rest.
Love flows to me and through me the same.
All glory and honor is attributed to Jesus’ name.
His hand of protection covers me by grace,
I am one with Him and firmly set in place,
At His side and deep with within His plan,
I am able to abide in His presence as I am.
Not perfect but perfected by the blood that atones.
Never will I need to stand alone.
The love of God has claimed me to be His bride,
To rule and reign at Jesus’ side.
Fully fixed by the river eternally at rest in every way.
As life and light and joy flood my being I proclaim,
He leads me through the shadows of death;
He is preparing me a place better than I can expect.

Psalms 4:8
I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety.

Psalms 107:28-29
Then they cry unto the Lord in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses.
 He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still.  Then are they glad because they be quiet; so he bringeth them unto their desired haven.
