I was a master at hiding my feelings. Very few knew of my inner troubles and inner pain. I will be forever grateful for the prayers of God’s people that helped me learn to be honest with myself and with others. I learned with God’s help how to forgive. I am healed so now I am able to pray and reach out to help another.
Helping Hurting People
When a tender spot is touched in protest you draw back; There is no doubt to others it hurts in fact, They can easily see it registered by your expression. They hardly need your words confessions, But, some of the worst pains affecting lives, Are buried deep down inside. You may smile, pretending nothing hurts at all, When wounded refusing to allow your face to fall. You will struggle onward, the world as a whole unaware, For very few people take time or are capable to really care. Many are also wounded and also pretend, That everything is just fine with them. If everyone consider another’s hurt and needs They would cause less pain indeed. It is God’s plan for His children to help one another. It is His plan to reach through you to your brother. It is His plan for you to love your neighbor and also your enemy. It is His plan for you to forgive those that have a sore spot touched, Because He died so all could be healed set free to administer His love. Remember this word given to thee. Many about you are hurting; by prayer set them free.
1 Corinthians 1:3-4 Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
One day I heard the Lord ask me if I wanted to go fishing? God knows I am not an outdoorsy girl so I know He meant fishing for souls. The person that was heavy on my heart He showed me was a big fish I would one day catch. This was a great comfort for my soul. He still is out there but I believe he one day will be caught. Now I pray with confidence for him to be saved.
Many have gone fishing though they do not call it this. They are casting out in the world’s sea for certain kind of fish. Some seek to land a good job, or perhaps success is their game. Some search for wealth and some for fame. Certain individuals fish for complements as self is displayed. Some are fishing for trouble each and every day. Some seek excitement and toy with dangerous friends. They cast their line and will be sorry the mess they find they are in. There are fishers of lust and perversion, lies and deceit. Where are the fishers that will fish the lost in life’s streams? There is need for workers to follow after Christ, To be fishers of men; they dedicate their life. Come follow the example Jesus gave to thee, Die to self-ambitions and follow after me. I give you all things profitable to the soul. You will be well fed, clean, sound, and whole. Purpose in yourself to be as a sign for the world to behold; A sign that says Gone Fishing in letters bright and bold. A life that shouts, I am a fisherman in God’s employ, My task is a pleasure and brings great joy. It is time to go fishing; invite a friend to join you in your toil, You will have a good catch that never spoils.
Matthew 14:19 And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.
With all that we need to face in our world: all the seemingly upside-down moralities, the real and the imagined divisions, and the very different visions for our future, the wise know Who it is that really is in control.
The Wise Know Where their Strength Comes
David faced Goliath with stone in hand and faith within. He faced the giant because He knew God was with him. Samson was strong with power; But He became foolish and his victory was soured. Both tell a story all need to see. Both from God got their strength. From king to pauper both the same; Need the favor of God to remain. From small nation to large nation they too, Needs God’s favor to carry through. Wise are those that know from with their strength comes. Wise are those who pray God’s will be done. Just like David stood against the enemy tall; Just like Samson pulled down on the enemy the walls; Just like Jesus that stands for right; You too have the strength and can stand ready to evil fight. Just like Esther, bride of the king, As You see the enemy destroyed your heart will sing. Just like Mary you are ready to pour, All that you are, in worship to your Lord.
Psalms 28:6-9 Blessed be the Lord, because he hath heard the voice of my supplications. The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him. The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed. Save thy people, and bless thine inheritance: feed them also, and lift them up for ever.
Prayer is a two way street. We make our requests known to our Lord, and we seek His will above our desire. When we believe He has heard we are assured He answers in the way best and in His time. When we are still, He reveals His will to our Spirit by the Word of God and in His inner witness within us. He gives us peace and directs how to pray with victory the answer to our prayer.
Pray the Answer
Pick up your countenance lift up your face, The answer to your prayers embrace. Pray the answer, pray with all your might, It turns from prayer to praise causing the heart delight. Praise the Lord for His intervention, no matter what comes. Pray the answer…Lord Thy will be done. Fervently take hold the horn of the altar and do not let go. Like a lion roar from the inner place in your heart and soul, Make a stand and wait for your help comes. Stand sure braced in your armor…victory is done. Watch as the enemy begins to fear; They will attack each other as your help comes near. Pick up your countenance prove to whom you belong. You may feel weak…but surely you are in Christ strong.
Matthew 21:20-22 Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
Our times are truly in an uproar. It is not a time of rest and ease. Although our world is in a widespread pandemic, with wars and rumors of war, with distrust and heartache, prejudices, and divisions on seemingly every side; there is still hope. If we can get a glimpse of the future God has planned for us, and will rest and rely on Him to answer our prayers, we will have a certain, steadfast confidence He is in full control. God asks us to pray for His will to be done on the earth as it is in heaven. Pray and watch for your peace and joy and faith to return. One day it will be revealed the activity in the heavens when we prayed. I pray you get a glimpse of it now, for we need to pray now earnestly for God’s will to be done for our Country and its leaders.
Praise and prayer cause heavenly activity. Angels rush to minister and to set free. When you are weak and need rest, An angel may be sent to assist. When you are surrounded, and feel trapped, The lifted prayer alerts them, to your enemy attack. When you are sad and have lost hope in life, God sends someone to encourage and to give new insight. Many times when the enemy attacks; It is an angel that fights them back. Angels are present in the gatherings to observe, The teacher and the Comforter, as they administer God’s Word. They marvel at the proceedings and they work in accord, As they do the work ordained by the Lord. If eyes are opened; so great are the numbers seen, That encircles God’s redeemed. An angel’s purpose is to glorify God, and to serve mankind. They are always, and will always, with God’s Word align; They are never to be worshiped or to their wisdom seek. Never, is it proper for men to pursue to with them speak. They are always near – but rarely are they perceived; But in your behalf; they work continuously.
Luke 15:10 Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.
Hebrews 1:14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?
Hebrews 13:2 Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.
In one of my tipsy-turvy times when trying to figure things out on my own; because of the churning in my spirit I was not even able pray. The Lord revealed how to get back the peace I once enjoyed in His presence. All it really takes is a humble heart that fully admits its inability to go it alone, and that truly repents of it sins and its self-assured ways. When we trust and speak the truth of the Word of God , we are able to effectivly use the name of Jesus in our prayer requests. Even if we do not have all the answers we can know God is in control. We are able to rest in His care and will for our life.
Calm Your Troubled Sea
A storm rages, there is a troubled sea, Within you it is not calm or at peace. Your thoughts are uncertain; blowing with the wind, Some wrong emotions are bottled up within. Tossed to one side, then to another, Rocking in a vessel but seeking cover, But it is not a pleasant journey at all, If you attempt to stand you stumble and fall. This is not a word of rebuke as you might suppose, It is a word to assure you, all things God knows. What can be done about this trouble within? Admit your attitude is indeed sin. Admit your faith needs working on, And that you are weak not all that strong. As for the troubled waters about you; Something can be done for that too. Jesus’ love provided your redemption. He broke the chains and bondage of sin, He deposited new authority to your new inner-man. He offers His name to make your demands. In Jesus name, declare to the raging water, peace be still; Perfectly fitting in the Father’s will. The enemy will surely torment the heart that allows him to. This need not be, heed this word is delivered to you.
John 16:23 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.
