In Your Darkest Place By Brenda Drake

My brothers and sisters, friends and family I am giving you this poem to encourage if you are feeling a bit lost and confused over our world and its dilemmas.  Emmanuel God is with us. Continue taking the stance of prayer.  Continue to seek God’s face.  He is our strength, He is our Hightower.   Jesus is Lord.  He is in control.

 Sing like…
Acts 16:25-26
And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.  And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed.

In Your Darkest Place

In the saddest place…in the place where terror strikes,
In the darkest place where there seems to be no light,
In a place of mass destruction… where confusion fills the air;
Where nothing seems right and nothing seems fair,
In the greatest valley where the sun does not seem to shine,
Or is the loneliest place that you could ever find,
In the place of hard decision where there is agony of the soul,
When it seems it is easier to of sanity let go,
The place of heartbreak where life is no longer fun.
When the future looks dark and bleak and nowhere to run,
In this place or any other …no matter what you feel is true,
Your God has not forsaken or abandoned you.
I AM will take the terrible pain away.
There will again be sunshine in your day.
Love surrounds and fills you and will deliver … victory is ahead.
Be assured of the great future prepared as you are by the Spirit led.

Romans 8:35-39
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Move into Position By Brenda Drake

So many people I have spoken to have been unable to sleep a whole night without waking up to pray for our Nation.  God is in control and He hears our prayers and when they align with His will and His Word His answer is yes and Amen.

By the way, in response to the silliness of the recent prayer ending of amen and a women.

Revelation 3:14
And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;

Move into Position

Move into the place prepared;
Into the victorious stance of prayer.
Who do you trust in? Is it God or man?
Do you speak words of defeat or the Word of I AM?
God is not thwarted; He is not pushed off His throne.
When you stand with Him you are not alone.
God sees everything; you as in a dark glass see.
The wise will yield to God’s way and trust where He leads.
Move into position ready to fight,
The battle set before you as in God’s strength you delight.
The weapons of your warfare are not carnal; they are mighty indeed.
In your warfare you pull down the strongholds of the enemy.
Are you ready? Get set and to go,
To the run the race in the Spirit’s flow?
Prayer is the position. The Word of God the weapon best,
Praying the Word over the Nation as in Jesus’ name you confess.

2 Corinthians 10:4-5
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

1 Corinthians 13:11-12
When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

2 Samuel 7:24-25
For thou hast confirmed to thyself thy people Israel to be a people unto thee for ever: and thou, Lord, art become their God.  And now, O Lord God, the word that thou hast spoken concerning thy servant, and concerning his house, establish it for ever, and do as thou hast said.

Defeated by Prayer By Brenda Drake

The world is full of information, some false and some true.  It can become tiresome and confusing to say the least.  But one thing I know, God has the final word.  Jesus is the Word. The Word of God tells us and shows us the power of prayer. There is great authority when we pray for God’s will be done, in Jesus’ name.

Defeated by Prayer

A fist full of reasons why something should or should not be done,
Are all made as nothing by one word from God’s Son.
Lazarus was buried; wrapped up tight to stay.
But when Jesus spoke he had to obey.
The stench of death was faced,
However by a word from God it was erased.
The mourners were wailing; his death was declared,
But they were stilled, proved wrong by one word of prayer.
The unbelievers were many but that did not mean a thing;
Nothing stops the will of Christ Jesus the King.
The fist full of facts did not stop God’s plan.
No one that was present that day could fully understand,
But the hearts that were touched were many that day.
As death’s cold hand was pushed away.
It was not time for the departure of the brother of Martha and Mary.
It was turned about; they could not yet Lazarus bury.
Just so are those that falsely declare
The death of a Nation; these too are defeated by prayer.

Mathew 6:10
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

Isaiah 35:4-5
Say to them that are of a fearful heart,
Be strong, fear not:
behold, your God will come with vengeance,
even God with a recompence;
he will come and save you.
Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened,
and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.
