How Far Could He See By Brenda Drake

The greatest day is the day You revealed Yourself to me.

How Far Could He See

Sorely beaten; upon his head a thorny crown roughly placed;
Great spikes pierced His flesh, His beard torn from His face;
Nailed on a cross with a sign above clearly seen.
A sea of faces: some crying, some mocking; evil, and mean.
Raised up with thieves, one on each side,
As a mass of people waited for them to die.
On His back, every sin of every man was known.
The perfect Son of God called each one His own.
How far could He see?” is the question asked.
He saw exactly where you are at.
He saw far into the future and as far back as sin’s start.
He accepted the penalty of each one so He could reign in your heart.
Every sin, every shame, every inability,
He saw and paid for at Calvary.
But great is the day when man’s opened eyes know,
Jesus raised so His new life in and through them could overflow.

Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

1 Corinthians 6:20
For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.

2 Corinthians 5:21
For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the
righteousness of God in him.

Long for Good News? By Brenda Drake

            Christmas-time for many; is filled with joy, peace and hope as we remember our Savior’s
birth and reminded of the great gift of His sacrifice in our behalf.  But soon we are painfully assaulted with the daily news and again we shake our heads at the craziness of our times.

Long Good News?

Do you long for good news instead of bad?
Have you nearly lost all the faith you thought you had?
Does the promise of tomorrow mar your today?
Do you wish peace would return and evil chased away?
If so there is some Good New you may have heard before,
The future is in the hands of the Lord.
He has conquered evil although the world does not show it,
The day comes soon when everyone knows it.
Pray for peace in the land.
Pray eyes will see and ears will hear God’s plan.
Until the earth’s harvest is done,
Your job is to pray, and to watch for the return of God’s Son.
He that lived and died and lives forever more;
Is King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
He who rose to sit at the Father’s side,
Soon returns to collect His Bride.
 Do you long for peace and joy to touch the earth I ask?
Then steadfastly look for the good and do not turn back.

John 14:27-29
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. You heard me say to you, I am going away, and I will come to you.’ If you loved me, you would have rejoiced, because I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I. And now I have told you before it takes place, so that when it does take place you may believe.
