Heart Throb of God By Brenda Drake

Have you more and more noticed a change in your thinking?  What was acceptable becomes detestable?  What was ignored is no longer able to be tolerated?  What seemed of utmost importance now is recognized of very little eternal value.  Now it is becoming very clear the things that are of most importance to our Heavenly Father.  If so you are feeling and becoming the heart throb of God.

Heart Throb of God

In the deepest place where the heart throbs;
In the essence of your being there is found God.
The very seed of existence; planted deep within,
All of you that exists belongs to Him.
Each breath has value; if but all men would know,
The high price paid for every soul.
Eternity measures each step in life’s path.
The all seeing eyes of God know right where you are at.
Love’s loving had reaches out each day,
To restore what evil has stolen away.
Look up, look about, search deep within,
Seek, learn, and listen; place all your hope in Him.
The Father, Jesus, and Holy Spirit, all three in One,
Work in perfect harmony to get the work done.
Nothing on earth exists without Christ.
Jesus is Truth, The Way, and Life.
On earth and in heaven is the same;
All life is found in Jesus’ name.
When you allow the work of the cross you will find,
Every part of your being is with God aligned.
With heart, mind and soul in accord,
Your whole being becomes a heart throb for the Lord.

Psalms 51:10
Create in me a clean heart, O God;
and renew a right spirit within me.

Proverbs 3:1-2
My son, forget not my law;
but let thine heart keep my commandments:
 For length of days, and long life,
and peace, shall they add to thee.

Individuals But Joined With Jesus

We all have opinions. We see through eyes influenced by our environment and upbringing. When influenced by the Word of God we find there is much more unity in our church and in our relationships.  When we adjust our thinking with love and respect for others we will have more peace in our land.

Individual; But Joined With Jesus

An individual in the church; because, no one is the same.
Although all are different they are joined by Jesus’ name.
Rich and poor worship together side by side.
The confidant and the insecure in the Lord abide.
The meek and quiet spirit touches shoulders with the loud and bold.
Their prayers are heard, both of them are by God known.
If one sees in another something that is to them a shame;
All wrong should by covered by love in Jesus’ name.
When differences arise that causes disharmony or discord,
All should be put aside in honor of their Lord.
Not only should disagreements be put away,
Sometimes the fault finder needs to watch what they say.
For the thing one sees as sin, is like the speck in another’s eye, do you hear?
Sometimes the one that finds the fault needs their own vision cleared.
Be careful chosen to not becomes self-righteous, and commit even a worse sin
For even God overlooks the outward and looks deep within

Psalms 133:1
Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

Ephesians 4:1-4
I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;

Acts 10:34
Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:

Be As a Fountain By Brenda Drake

One of the most wonderful things I experienced after Jesus became my Savior was a flushing, rushing feeling of a mighty river flowing inside of me.  It lasted for quite a long time.  I longed for it to continue forever.  Perhaps it still is bubbling through me and I no longer am able to feel it.  By faith I believe it is still roaring with the presence of my Lord within me.

Be as a Fountain

There is a fountain that bubbles inside deep,
It flows as a river to the Saviors feet.
Gather together if you will,
To allow the Spirit to infill.
The cup of pleasure tastes sweeter than wine,
As you come to my table to dine.
I will wash over you with my presence, wrong is no more.
You are as pure and as clean as the risen Lord.
As you bow down at the alter placed at my feet,
I accept your offering and administer peace.
I will pour good inside to insure you remain strong,
So you are able to cope, victorious in a world gone wrong.
I help you lead another to the fountain of life,
As you become an ambassador for Christ.
Becoming a flowing stream to quench the thirst of another lost soul
A child of the living God, that from God’s fountain flows.

John 7:38
He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

Finished to Perfection By Brenda Drake

When you begin to feel shabby and of little consequence, remember who you are now in Christ.  Believe me, it is anything but shabby we are beautiful and of great value to our Lord.   As we study the Word we get a glimpse of the great commission to share the Good News with others.

Finished to Perfection

Finished to perfection,
Filled with the light of holy conviction,
Moved to royalty; to the most honored place,
All provided by God’s amazing grace.
Lovely to behold, bought at a great price,
Paid for by Jesus’ sacrifice.
The temple is readied; it is filled with great light,
Causing the Lord great pleasure and delight.
The days are numbered.  Heavens residents are prepared,
To welcome in joy to with them share.
There is a remnant positioned to cause a stir,
Spreading the good news; speaking forth God’s Word.
At war; with a prayer on the lips, armor in place, sword drawn,
And with eyes opened to follow the One they depend on.
Surely you will be in the number of the holy procession,
Of the army of the chosen finished to perfection.

 2 Corinthians 5: 17-18
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.  And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;

He Will Use Even a Feather

I know how it feels like to feel insignificant in our large world.   But now because of Jesus’ work on the cross, and the knowledge of the truth of His plan of salvation; He has made known the great value He sees in every soul.

He Will Use Even a Feather

A feather’s weight barely exists,
It a tiny ant can lift.
It may go unnoticed – no one acknowledges it,
It seems of no use, of little benefit.
But it is still a feather it has a place.
It takes up its own amount of space.
<<<>>>
You perhaps feel like a feather’s worth;
Carrying very little-weight upon the earth.
You too may feel unnoticed and that no one cares,
And the world passes you by unaware.
<<<>>>
But I tell you feathers can cause a great stir;
When the winds blow it travels undisturbed.
Feathers can cause a big man to fall to his knees,
When blown in the eye; up the nose it causes a great sneeze.
A feather can grace a grand bouquet or adorn a queen’s hat.
 It becomes a small child’s greatest treasure in fact.
<<<>>>
Your life is very important, it is of great worth.
Because of your existence, Jesus came to the earth.
He esteems your profound value and He died to pay for your sins.
So He could use ( every supposed feather) to glorify him.
<<<>>>
Come and allow God to show you that this word is so.
Allow Him to be of your life in control.

Psalms 139:14:14
I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made:
marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

Armed with Wisdom and Prayer By Brenda Drake

       Do you feel confused and frustrated with our unsettling world circumstances?  A little out of place and out of touch with things?  Allow God to assure you He is in control and that He hears and answers prayer.  Look up in faith and place on the provided spiritual armor and stand ready for the battle is His and He will show up strong.

Armed with Wisdom and Prayer

You hear our prayers this I know,
For both my heart and the bible tells me so.
Evil has proudly and arrogantly made its stand;
But because of the prayers of the people You heal our land.
Wrong is said is right but also I know
I refuse to in its evil waters flow.
I will stand on and with what the Word teaches is right,
And I place on my armor with sword ready to fight.
The battle is won by the work of Your hand.
All we need to do is pray and for righteousness stand.
Joining one by one: shoulder to shoulder; many begin to see,
That together we are strong, in unity,
Our Lord paves the way to victory ahead,
And our inner strength and hope is restored as God’s Word says.
The army of God, armed with wisdom and prayer;
Rises to the occasion, to God’s victory-march share.

1 Corinthians 1:10
Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

Ephesians 6:13-17
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.  And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

2 Chronicles 7:14
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

In the Care of the Lord By Brenda Drake

            The Lord once showed me a vision of me looking at was seemingly a mountain impossible to get around.   I fearfully worried, and strategized how I could solve the problem; then in frustration I began to wonder what I could have or should have done to have avoided the situation I was in. Then He revealed it was like an apple very close right in front of my face.  My perspective was not God’s perspective.  I then picked up the apple (problem) and lifted it up to the One that could successfully take care of it for me. Every once and a while He reminds me of the silliness of letting an apple upset me.

In the Care of the Lord

God walks with you through every situation you face.
In difficulty, His presence embrace.
The high, rough-road traveled, or the place deep, dark, and low;
God is with you to light the way and to strengthen the soul.
Hopelessness and despair is pushed aside,
When hearts are awaken to God’s promise that abides.
Joy and peace rush in to restore to heal the broken place;
All is provided by God’s mercy, love and grace.
Train to purpose thoughts and emotions to God’s Word in troubling times.
Dedicate your circumstances to at His feet recline.
Allow the One you love and serve to your burdens bear.
His love and dedication will carry the largest share.
Lean unto the sovereign had of the One you adore.
Rest your thoughts and emotions in the care of Jesus; Lord of Lords.

1 Peter 5:7
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Matthew 11:28-30
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.  For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Written in Stone By Brenda Drake

      The Ten Commandments were written in stone.  Now Jesus has written His will on the walls of our heart as we stand on the rock solid promise of the truth of salvation written in the Word of God.

Written in Stone

You have heard “it is written in stone.”
Meaning its truth stands alone.
It will not change. What written down,
Is rock-solid truth that is sound.
The world may alter the Word to mean what they desire,
But it really has not changed what God requires.
The world may shun the Word as untrue,
But it does not change the mind of the One who gave it to you.
It may be coined as old fashioned, outdated, or unnecessary,
But on the contrary they will always be.
When your name is written in the book of life,
There you stay because of the blood of Christ.
He is the Rock, He is the law and the ransom paid;
So the one under the law’s penalty may be saved.
It is written in stone, and in the Father’s hand,
By the love of God; just as He has planned.
Written in stone… the blood above every hearts door,
Marks the proof they are the possession and the work of the Lord.

2 Corinthians 3:7
But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away:  How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious?

Abide in Me By Brenda Drake

            When we focus on the world’s circumstances, life at times feels dark and hopeless.   Our attitude and outlooks are our choice. It is also our choice whether or not to believe the Word of God’s promise. Salvation is a bright light that pierces the darkness of our soul. When we abide in Jesus He floods hearts with love, promise, and hope; that causes life-altering shifts of joy and deep assuring peace deep within.

Abide in Me

When your day ends and night begins,
Although the sun is not seen it still shines my friend.
When you open a door the light shines through,
Its sheen enters unless the door is closed by you.
But the light is still there. It does not change a bit;
But the shut up room loses its benefits.
A tender green branch promises fruit ahead,
A severed limb without life’s source is dead.
A branch may stay green awhile, but without strength;
When not connected to the vine, its fruit dry up and shrink.
Withered dry branches becomes a waste,
To be thrown in the burn pile- disgraced.
The Son that shines upon you never stops His shine.
When I have called you; you are mine.
When connected to the true vine, good fruit expect,
Even in the world’s harsh elements.
There is nothing able to steal this one from me,
For I watch over my chosen jealously.
But all do have free choice; I do not force to love me.
 I desire to be wanted and to be the source of every need.
So great is the desire for their Lord.
A seeking bride that waits to be with the one she adores,
My arms are open; I am calling out to thee.
Open your heart’s door for the Light to enter as you abide in me.

John 15:5
I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.  If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

Constant Companion By Brenda Drake

I am loved; my Lord never leaves or forsakes me.  When I remember His constant presence and watch-care over my soul I am hesitant to cause grief to the sweet companion of my soul.  I desire to glorify Him for He has blessed my life with every good gift.

Constant Companion

I must remember my constant companion who abides within.
Every step I take is known to Him,
When I am happy, angry or sad,
When I am on good behavior or acting bad,
My Lord is with me all the way;
Knowing what I think and hearing everything I say.
Where ever I go He goes too.
Wherever I stay He is an inner witness of all I do.
My constant companion loves me just as I am,
But He lovingly urges me to yield to His hand.
As He shapes me to like Him be,
He shines through the Word the way for me.
My Lord is my closest friend,
On Him I must always depend.
His love is eternally mine for I know,
All He did to save my soul.
I desire to abide in Him too
Drawing close to the holy place where the Spirit moves.
Father, Son and Spirt; all three in one accord,
Oh how I love the constant companion of my Lord

John 14:16
And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter,
that he may abide with you for ever;
