We are fearfully and wonderfully made.  In God’s eyes we are beautiful.  We are even more beautiful as we reflect the beauty of Jesus.  Let us value each other as he values us.   

Jewel of Love

Way down in a secret place
Where no man can show his face
There is the jewel precious for the crown
That the redeemed will willingly throw down
Man guards and protects it from sight
But in heaven it shines bright
What is this jewel that is hidden so well?
Of its value no one can tell.
The seed of existence …the essence of your soul;
Fashioned to reflect Christ when He is in control.
The light is holy, so beautiful …so fine
That it’s for God’s eyes alone designed.
Beautiful, pure and undefiled
That causes the Bridegroom to smile.
Do not search for it …just know it is there.
Dedicate your life to with your God share.
The overcomer will all praise sing
As their life is laid before the King of Kings.

Zechariah 9:16
And the LORD their God shall save them in that day as the flock of his people: for they shall be as the stones of a crown, lifted up as an ensign upon his land.

I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made:

This is a poem to be published in new book to be published.

            Is there anything sadder than a wasted day feeling sorry for ourselves?  Yes. It is sadder still to remain in this depressing place of bitterness.  I am thankful our Lord is faithful to forgive us our sins.

A Wasted Day

I am sad I have wasted this day.
I have allowed bitterness to steal my joy away.
I don’t know why I did not call out in Jesus’ name.
That I did not run to You, I am so ashamed.
I know all things You clearly see.
I am sorry for my sins please forgive me.
I foolishly allowed self-pity to rule my day.
I turn about now and go the other way.
Lord, mend my heart while yielded and still,
I submit my life to do God’s will.
Help me forgive the one that injured me so.
Help me pray for Him.  Lord, make him new and whole.
I pray I do not allow another day like this to go by.
Change my ways to God glorify.
Help me to renounce depression’s power.
So it does not cause another day to sour.
All praise and glory belongs to Lord Jesus Christ,
For the remainder of my days, help me to live as a living sacrifice.

Ephesians 5:15-16
See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

Our Lord requests us to do some seemingly very hard things; but He is  always available to be our help and our strength to do as He asks.  It may seem impossible but with our Lord all things are possible.  To God belongs all the glory.

To Walk the Extra Mile

To walk the extra mile; turn the other cheek,
Help the poor man downtrodden on the street.
Care for the hungry, clothe the poor,
Stop speaking in a way unpleasing to the Lord.
Lay down anger, lift up another’s need,
Give as unto the Lord and renounce all greed.
Rejoice with others when your heart is heavy in pain.
Be sensitive to unspoken requests and in peace remain.
Walk the high road, but do not forget where you’ve been.
Behold the one on the low road and pray for him.
Lift your heart to heaven and give thanks each day,
Trust in God’s mercy and lift words of praise.
Bow down in worship in self-sacrifice,
Lift up the needs of another’s life.
Remember so many people need God’s touch,
And by your service you prove His love.
Be a steady walker that talks like Christ
Showing He is present and that He is your heart’s delight.
You need to place self aside to allow God to perform His way.
Becoming a vessel that truly lives what God’s Word relays.
You will indeed walk the extra mile and more within
For you are a Child of God that is filled with Him

Matthew 5:41
And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.

Roman 12:1
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

I am amazed at the way almost everything is able to show the ways of the Lord. Lord help me be hard at your kingdom work.

The Little Witness
There is a little witness that shows you,
Can do more than you think you can do.
In this little witness you see clear,
In unity there is strength with little need to fear,
Steady and diligent is this little witness in his ways;
Hard work with purpose pays.
In service he will give his life.
In his commitment his own will is sacrificed.
He works for the future generation’s best.
He takes little time to rest.
Have you guessed who the witness is my friend?
Even from a little ant …you can learn from him.
My children are able to do great things,
As they are in service to Christ the King.
They also sacrifice self-will for the lost.
They toil so others find rebirth at the cross.
Steady, and committed to finish Jesus’ work,
They set their face as they walk the earth.
But unlike the ant…their life shines bright,
Their steady walk leads to the Light.
Their strength is renewed day to day,
When, they are faithful to pray.
My witnesses sing praises to God above,
As they offer to others His love.
One day when the Lord returns for His bride,
His faithful witness will rule at His side,
Never again to feel fear or pain,
For the burden of sin does not remain,
When you weary recall this word of rhyme.
Remember the small witness and how you are designed.
Lift up your prayers and you will see you too,
Are able to do much more than you ever thought you could do.

Proverbs 6:6
Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways

      I owe everything to the One that made everything. He is my everything,  It is all because of His love and provision that I am able to know the truth and it is because of His call am I able to testify of such a love as this.

All Because

 All because on the tree upon the hill
The Son of God died in my behalf I am fulfilled.
All because of a Father’s love is mankind saved by grace.
All because of His obedient Son are our sins erased.
All because of a prayer uttered in behalf of my soul,
And because ears were opened from the Almighty’s throne,
All because the Spirit wooed and urged my heart to believe.
And all because of the angels toil to help me receive,
All because of Jesus am I now able to write this word of rhyme.
It is all because of God’s mercy and grace am I with Him aligned.
Only because He chose me and has helped me change,
Am I free to live without bondage and chains.
I seek always to serve and do all I can for Him,
For it is all because of His great love am I made new within.

 Isaiah 43:10
Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.

2 Corinthians  5:17
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

        I never could understand how a Christian would desire to return to their old life.  I do understand becoming discouraged and looking for some relief from a problem.  God has provided the avenue of prayer to help us go forward not looking back.

Would a Butterfly Go Back?

Would a beautiful butterfly desire to return to the past;
When it crawled slowly, would it desire to go back?
To go back would mean to trade the beautiful for the plain.
To go back it would not the same remain.
Would the cocoon seem inviting or would it desire to fly free?
Would the view be better low and slow or, high and far as the eye can see?
This is a silly question and seems foolish to even ask;|
But many are the children of God that are constantly looking back.
They are also very silly for they have changed;
Their very structure has been rearranged.
They are fashioned for perfection and they are born anew.
Why would they desire to go back to their old shoes?
They have a beautiful future filled with good things.
They have a prepared place where they can visit freely with the King.
Why would they grumble and desire to return to sin?
It’s like the beautiful butterfly that feels like a caterpillar again.
Lift up your gaze and fly fast and free.
Lift up your voice and praise your God that died for thee.
When you get discouraged you are wise if remember your new life;
Do not go back, give the problem to be solved to your Lord Jesus Christ.

Ezekiel 11:19-20
And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh:  That they may walk in my statutes, and keep mine ordinances, and do them: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God.

Prayer
I am a new creature in Christ, I am so grateful with Your help I am able to fly over the problems of life.

Hold out Things worth Taking

Hold out things worth taking, give good things away.
If you hold out junk then it will with you stay.
By the world’s standards it may seem good,
But by God’s measure it may not be as it should.
Good advice is worth keeping – give it away;
A good word others will gladly receive each day.
In God’s kingdom to give is to receive
So give away what it is that you need.
Hold out kindness – you will find you’re kinder too,
Hold out compassion and it is added unto you.
Sing praise and you will be praised for what you have done.
Hold out things worth taking and you are held by God’s Son.
Life is a struggle but do not hold on too tight,
Offer it to Jesus as a sacrifice.
A sacrifice worth keeping; well used by God above;
For your life is a testament of His love.
God offers life everlasting, and you gladly received.
He held out salvation; you saw and believed.
He came and drew you to His touch.
He offered you joy and peace and you opened up.
Hold out the invitation God held out to you,
And others will come to the wedding feast too.
Remember this word of advice, and Word will before you stand.
When you reach out He will take your hand.

Luke 8:38
Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again

        When  look ahead through eyes of faith, expecting the best even  in times of difficulty,  I  believe there are brighter days ahead.     Life is a gift.  When  we trust God our life is  filled with precious jewels to enrich our life. 

Jewels of Time

I look for diamonds in the sands of time.
Jewels of revelation in my heart and mind.
I hunger for the wisdom prepared for me
I ask for God’s help and ability
I serve a supernatural God with no limits to His power.
I will be His hand extended in the world’s last hour.
In God’s Word many things as yet are undetected;
I will in this life expect the unexpected.
All of life’s journeys are mapped out by Him.
The most high, most Holy, my God and friend.
As I walk by faith I see streets of gold shining bright;
The diamonds I search for are in My Savior’s eyes;
Eternity beacons with promise in every breath
I have full confidence God is not finished with me yet.
So I will praise Him in the sunshine and in the rain;
As I search for the jewels that in this life remains.
I need the Lord every minute of every hour.
I cannot breathe without His sustaining power.
All praise and glory I bring to the Lord and King.
Every chance I get I will allow my heart to sing.

2 Corinthians 4:6-7
For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.  But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

I was all alone sitting in my favorite chair when a television evangelist came on television.  I was too tired to get up and change the channel, (this is before remote control.)  As I listened to his message Love indeed spoke into my darkness with salvation’s light!   Oh how I love the God that loved so much He died to save my soul.

        Love Spoke into the Darkness

Love spoke into darkness and there was light.
Love speaks into your dark place to give new insight.
Love spoke into existence the earth, the moon and the stars.
He speaks to your world …He knows where you are.
From the cross love saw the great need of your soul.
A special place in His heart you hold.
Love has given His life so you can also His love speak.
He has given His Word to the seeking heart that seeks.
Love washes you as white as new fallen snow.
His shed blood has made the redeemed new and whole.
Love speaks encouragement and will lift and edify.
Love speaks in so many ways to water the soul parched and dry.
Love’s name is Jehovah …God that supplies all you need.
His name is Jesus that saves the one that believes.
His name is Wonderful…. Lord of Lords and King of Kings.
Love speaks into a life and makes it able to His praises sing.

Genesis 1:3
And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

Matthew 13:23
But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth,
some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

Take Time to Smell the Flower

Take time to smell the flower; enjoy the sunny day
See the beauty that surrounds you portrayed.
Make the effort to smile, sing that happy song.
Tell your friends and neighbors to whom you belong.
Listen to the one that speaks, listen to his cry.
Be sensitive to another’s hurt, and their need supply.
Look at tomorrow through eyes of today.
Do not put off things to another day.
If you dwell in yesterday’s sunshine or yesterday’s rain,
It can spoil today’s joy and can cause you inner pain.
Let love flow, wise words speak.
You become stronger when you assist the weak.
Trust your life into God’s care while upon the earth.
He will prosper your soul and give you rebirth.
Alive to the Spirit, alive to His touch,
Alive to His desires and alive to His love.
The flowers are even more fragrant; their splendor intensifies,
For you are one with the Creator – in you, He is alive.
A rose’s aroma though sweet is not as sweet to God above
As the thankful child of God that enjoys the Father’s love.

I John 5:12
