Man’s Decision with God’s Provision

In the Garden Eve was deceived
The evil one planted his evil seeds
When she believed the lie
She drew Adam to her side
When he ate from the forbidden tree
He was aware of sin and from it he could not be freed
But the Father always knew and had a plan to take away sin
The Holy Spirit calls all men  to Him
Jesus provided a way on the cross of shame
He has provided the use of His name
His stripes have healed sickness and disease
And all He asks is for you to believe
He gives strength when you are weak
He gives wisdom for you to speak
He pours out blessings to numerous to mention
He administers peace to relieve your tension
His Word is sent to lead and guide the seeking heart
The Father gave the Son’s authority to tell the enemy to depart
Every man or woman will hear and will see truth displayed
They will decide to believe or refuse to be saved
Man will do one of two things
They will remain lost or they will become an offering
Each and every one will choose to die to self
Or they choose to remain lost without the Spirit’s help
Man’s decision with God’s provision will be very evident
He chooses to be a light or to remain in darkness – It is up to Him

Deuteronomy  30:19
I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

When Little is More Than Enough By Brenda Drake

When Little is More Than Enough

A little can become more than enough
When it is by God’s hand touched
Whatever you have offer it to God above
And it too can be multiplied by the touch of Love
In the Word of God many times
There are examples to testify God’s design
God proved time and gain
That little became more when touched by Him
A little lunch fed multitudes…a little fish the taxes paid
A word of authority raised a dead man from the grave
A heart touched by the truth no longer lost remains
But is saved made new…freed from their chains
Prayer moves mountains out of paths every day
Hearts are lifted by a small word that chases fear away
A tiny child that speaks faith can be
Like a beacon light so that the blind can see
A little word of rhyme that is jotted down
Becomes a precious bit of wealth with wisdom good and sound
A little bit of joy can fill up a life so much
Causing indescribable pleasure to those you touch

Luke 6:38
Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

2 Corinthians 8:15
As it is written, He that had gathered much had nothing over; and he that had gathered little had no lack.

Little Flower Tucked Away By Brenda Drake

Little Flower Tucked Away

The little flower is very fragile on the vine.
It can easily be ripped off in the windy times.
It may become slightly tattered in the hard rain,
But it hangs on and still remains.
It may not inspire with its beauty, in fact most do not see,
What it offers to world as its goodness to receive.
But along comes the small child,
The small tattered flower causes him to smile.
Little hands reach out and carefully grasp the bloom in his fist,
To take to his mother his precious gift.
To him it is a great treasure,
That has caused to him great pleasure.
Mom takes it and places in a little glass or vase,
And enjoys the delight in her child’s face.
The little flower is later secretly pressed in a book to keep;
A keepsake to remember her child’s offering so sweet.
Now this story is true time and time again,
The tiny bloom probably would’ve been torn away by the wind;
Never to be seen or remembered except by God above,
But now it’s encased and preserved as a testament of love.
Your existence seems so invaluable sometimes too,
But your life touches so many about you.
One day, as the small bud ‘s revealed that was kept tucked away;
Your life’s bloom too will be on display.
You will be surprised to see and hear.
The bits of memories. others have kept to them most dear.
You will see evidence of the pleasure you brought by your love.
You then will gladly give all the praise to your God above.

Psalms 37:18
The LORD knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever.

Would A Butterfly Go Back? By Brenda Drake

2 Corinthians  5:17
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

            I never could understand how a Christian would desire to return to their old life.  I do understand becoming discouraged and looking for some relief from a problem.  God has provided the avenue of prayer to help us go forward not looking back.

Would a Butterfly Go Back?

Would a beautiful butterfly desire to return to the past;
When it crawled slowly, would it desire to go back?
To go back would mean to trade the beautiful for the plain.
To go back it would not the same remain.
Would the cocoon seem inviting or would it desire to fly free?
Would the view be better low and slow or, high and far as the eye can see?
This is a silly question and seems foolish to even ask;
But many are the children of God that are constantly looking back.
They are also very silly for they have changed;
Their very structure has been rearranged.
They are fashioned for perfection and they are born anew.
Why would they desire to go back to their old shoes?
They have a beautiful future filled with good things.
They have a prepared place where they can visit freely with the King.
Why would they grumble and desire to return to sin?
It’s like the beautiful butterfly that feels like a caterpillar again.
Lift up your gaze and fly fast and free.
Lift up your voice and praise your God that died for thee.
When you get discouraged you are wise if remember your new life;
Do not go back, give the problem to be solved to your Lord Jesus Christ.

Ezekiel 11:19-20
And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh:  That they may walk in my statutes, and keep mine ordinances, and do them: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God.

Prayer
I am a new creature in Christ, I am so grateful with Your help I am able to fly over the problems of life.

Do You Wonder at Such Love? By Brenda Drake

cross loveth (1)

Do You Wonder At Such Love?

Do you wonder at a love that sees through flaws
Something perfect uncondemned by God’s law?
The redeemed are beautiful in God’s eyes
Their perfection is as yet unrecognized.
This love says I am satisfied by the work of the cross.
Much was sacrificed to save the lost.
Do you wonder at such love that molds and shapes within;
To becomes a living sacrifice that will live for Him.
It is the gift given to the redeemed from God above.
The gift of sanctification bestowed with love.
Do you wonder at a love that will words of life speak
Into and through vessels flawed and weak?
My strength and my robe of righteousness is upon you placed.
All as a free gift of acceptance under grace.
Do you wonder at such love that speaks words of rhyme.
To assure and declare the chosen holy, beautiful, and mine.
Do you wonder how this love could be?
It is my nature.  I am love.  One day you will be pure love just like me.

Ephesians 2:4-6
But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,  Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)  And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

God Wants ALL Your Heart By Brenda Drake

God Wants  All Your Heart by Brenda Drake

A small part most desire to give;
They hold on to the largest part, as they profess they are His.
Self is served most of the time.
They share only small moments to with God align.
They say a prayer if they see a problem ahead,
But sometimes they wait too long; till they are way over their heads
Some place a day aside if there is no other thing to do.
If asked, do you serve God; they would say it is true.
The vices and sinful pleasures they tuck safely away,
Their hearts and minds wander even when they pray.
A future of hard places will need to be overcome.
They are blinded by the evil one.
Complacent, with consciences dull and blind,
Fully deceived; they think they are doing fine.
They point out, that at least they say Jesus’ name
But, that they are living holy, they cannot claim.
A small part I will not accept, I want a faithful, loving bride.
That will not defile herself with others by her side.
I do not want a fraction of your heart, I want all your best.
Come lay your whole life down, all your sins confess.
The change comes not after you are cleansed, but after admitting your lack.
Then it will not be a small part given, it will be your all you’ve given back.

Deuteronomy 6:5
And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.

Follow the Shepherd By Brenda Drake

John 10:4
And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.

 Following the Shepherd

As a little lamb is guided, so must you be,
Just as it follows the one ahead, you must learn to follow me.
The little lamb does not question where it is led,
He trusts the one that walks on ahead.
He does not tarry, grumble or complain;
On the path he remains.
This little lamb walks ahead in faith,
He does not worry or hesitate.
He does not try to show the shepherd a better way ahead.
He continues on without fear or dread.
Like this, my chosen ought to be.
You must trust as you follow after me.
I am the Good Shepherd of your soul.
Allow me to have full control.
I will carry you through the hard place,
Confidently you can rest in my embrace.
God’s sheep rejoice as they hear His loving call to come,
And follow in the footsteps of Jesus God’s Son.

I Thank You with all My Heart By Brenda Drake

thanks slide-02

I Thank Him with All My Heart

I’ve food on the table and a heart that sings.
I’ve feet that travel after Jesus my King.
My mind and my desire is to His will do.
I praise Him for the way the Spirit moves.
I thank Him with all my heart for all He has done.
He restored me to the place ordained; with Him as one.
The good words I speak, with God’s Word agrees;
Words of faith, with power, that moves mountains for me.
Peace has taken residence deep inside my soul,
For, my God and my Savior takes full control.
The future is not fully comprehended it is true;
But, I know I’m highly favored and He will see me through.
Since I believe the Word I will proclaim it loud and clear.
Gone is the mountain of doubt… it completely disappears.
I am rich beyond measure the greatest treasure I’ve found.
I have more than enough; I climb now to higher ground.
Jesus allow my life to count; cause another increase I pray,
All the glory and honor I bring back to You today.

Psalms 30:4
Sing unto the LORD, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.

Far Reaching Thoughts By Brenda Drake

Eagle 2Far Reaching Thoughts

My thoughts soar like an eagle; there is no limit to their domain.
My body has limits but my thoughts have no chains.
Where they travel, I control
I can choose for them to fly high or for them to crawl low.
My heart has decided to follow after Christ.
I’ve given Him control of my life.
I will direct my desires to holy things,
My thoughts are offered as an offering.
Faith, hope, and peace, with words of comfort, and words of praise,
Are the kinds of thoughts I choose to raise.
The Word of God and its teachings I will gladly speak.
My God’s perspective in life I choose to seek.
On the wings of eagles I soar to the heavenly place;
Up the Holy Mountain of prayer; under the banner of God’s grace.
Oh heart, direct your thoughts upward, remembering the great work of the cross.
Remember in your prayer-time God’s great concern for the lost.
Compose words of thanks and praise in songs to sing,
To glorify and to testify of Jesus Christ your King.
Far reaching, soul seeking, thoughts, fly from place to place,
Administering strength to my heart and to others within God’s embrace.

Phillipians 4:8
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Love’s Perfect Face By Brenda Drake

Love’s Perfect Face

Love instructs, and guides,
It pours out what is inside.
Love can be passionate and strong,
Or it can comfort with sweet songs.
Love will encourage and exalt,
Love will honestly reveal a fault.
Love paves the way and the Way reveals.
Love always attempts to soothe and will heal.
Love floods over, and through,
In outpourings of great affection for you.
In love there is no lack,
All is found in love, in fact,
There is only one place,
Where Love shows His perfect face.
The God who loved enough to send His Son,
To get the needed job done,
The One that came to earth to save the lost,
That poured out love’s blood at the cross;
Who has tasted the putrid taste of sin and shame,
So you could taste love in Jesus name,
The Comforter sent to lead and guide to reveal truth within,
Who lifts the name of Jesus who died, raised, and soon comes again.

1 John 4-11
Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.  He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.  In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.  Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.  Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
