We all see the flaws within ourselves.  When we get too uptight with our performance we are on a path that takes us into self-works.  The truth is we are not perfect but Jesus by His work in our behalf makes us perfected in the Father‘s sight. Jesus is our example, all we need to do is do our best and repent and change our way when off track.

Do you think you need to be perfect, and fear when you fail?
Are you worried what people think? It is like a boat without sail.
Jesus walked on soil He created yet He walked in humility.
You only need to do your best to God please
Jesus’ body was bruised, pierced, and scared to one day heal you.
He suffered dirty feet and achy muscles too;
He prayed earnestly night and day,
With purpose He set to the Father’s will obey.
He did not seek approval of those who claimed to be in control.
He lived only to the will of God show;
He is the example of perfection in every way to see.
When you trust His provision from perfection’s-burden you are set free.
Because He has settled the debt of sin’s blight,
The man redeemed is now seen as perfect in the Father’s sight.
Though still you may see and feel your lack.
Instead of trying on your own; faith in God work gets you back on track.

Hebrews 10:14
For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

We all have the same opportunities to give up or to settle for less than we desire.  But each new day is a new day to pick up our cross and follow after the One we love and serve.  Life is a journey… we must take one step at a time – never give up!  Stand up for right and walk in the Spirit following after Jesus, The Word, and the Lover of our soul.

Back on Track

One step forward, two steps back
When, oh when, will we get back on track?
Life has piled many things in our way.
There seems to be less and less time in our day.
Crying children and honking horns fill the air;
With stressful attitudes everywhere.
The media tells of sadness and misfortune of others,
With dire predictions that the economy may not recover.
The atmosphere is electric wars rage day and night.
Politicians and the church folk with each other fight.
The bills pile high and the taxes do too.
There’s so much we can and need to do.
We can’t see ahead very far, in fact,
We have a tendency, Lord to look back.
Back to the times when life was simpler it seems;
When emotions were more settled – not with such extremes.
God we will feel better when we trust You are in control.
When we take time to pray the truth is known.
When we spend extra time to dedicate our day to You,
The important things we are equipped to do.
One step at a time – You guide our step.
As we read Your Word we are by Your Spirit led.
We can see this is indeed the times of the end.
When the atmosphere is charged with the times we are in.
As we offer this day into Your loving care,
We know only because of Your help do we get anywhere!

Psalms 61:2
From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
