God Shines before Me

There is sunshine on the path ahead.
In faith in my Lord’s steps I tread.
I see silver lining in clouds dark and glum.
It is my Lord, overlooking all the things to come.
The road is rocky but in faith I see.
There is a safe way to reach my destiny.
Jesus leaves signs along the way.
As I heed to the Word obey.
There are enemies along the journey to pull aside,
But they cannot or the Spirit within abides.
I do not know where the path goes,
But I trust my Lord, for all things He knows.
I know not my future-life on earth,
But I do know my eternal-future after rebirth.
I see the sun shine on the path ahead,
It comes from heaven’s door – I’ve nothing to dread.

Genesis 28:15
