It is easier to and we are more apt to give a kiss on the cheek in greeting than to offer a kiss of forgiveness to someone that has offended us.

Kiss of Charity
Greet each other with the kiss of charity.
This is a statement bigger than you at first see.
The “kiss” is demonstrated in many ways;
From a loving attitude to a word of praise.
When you meet your brother
You will many times discover,
There are times
When, the kiss of charity must be redefined.
When heart is injured because someone did not care,
When you meet the truth and check the way you feel
You have choice to continue on or to heal.
Your choice to forgive and to let anger and bitterness go,
Is like a kiss that prospers both of your souls.
Greet with charity’s kiss.
So great is its benefit.
In every situation where love is allowed to reign;
Like Mary you have bowed at the feet of the Master again.
As an offering of sacrifice you have outpoured;
Precious perfume…greatly treasured by the Lord.
Remember the day Jesus greeted you with charity’s kiss?
Rejoice and give praise at a love such as this.
2 Corinthians 13:12
Greet one another with an holy kiss.
Colossians 3:13-14
Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
And above all these things put on charity,
which is the bond of perfectness.
Mark 14:3
