In these troubled times I have had a lot of opportunity to think and to pray for God’s wisdom, direction, and will in my life and for the course of our Country.  I do not have all the answers but I know the One that does.  All I truly know is He is in control and that I also desire for Jesus to be in control of me and my life.  As I prepare for duty I rightly know I need help from the Holy Comforter of my soul.

Prepared for Duty

Preparations are taking place in the Body of Christ,
Many are taking a closer examination of their life.
Their image and effect on their neighbors and friends;
Are influenced by what lies within.
The selfish, self-conscious, self-motivated one,
Will be limited in the kingdom-work done.
Those that are selfish choose not to see,
The neighbor’s problem or help meet their needs.
The self-conscious one is so afraid to speak
That they will not their neighbor reach.
The self-motivated one will rarely take time,
To with God’s will and ways align.
To be ready at all times to serve;
Be immersed in God’s Word;
Come daily for fresh supply.
And you’ll be as a river that is never found dry.
For your God is all the strength you need.
And His ability to serve ….you will receive.
Self is crucified again and again,
So your Lord and Savior rules and reigns within.
He hears the cry of the lost and sees the one in need.
Prepare your heart to His goodness receive.
Prepare for service my friend,
For you are a gift He chooses to send.

Exodus 15:2
The LORD is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father’s God, and I will exalt him.
