Clearly Speak the Truth By Brenda Drake

There is a fine line between speaking the truth, and being overly blunt.  It is the same when we try to speak the truth while endeavoring to please or to not offend.  We tiptoe around a situation that needs to be confronted.  Jesus was willing to die for every sinner, but He was never guilty of not speaking the truth.

Clearly Speak the Truth

Tactfulness by world standards, says less as not to offend another.
But in the Kingdom of God you plainly speak the Word to your brother.
A tactful person of the world may say “You are a bit out of control”.
God would say, “Beware, there is jeopardy to your soul,”
One says “Take it easy, go at a slower pace.”
The other says, “Turn around; you are not covered by grace.”
The world assures you are no worse than others around you.
God desires those who live like Jesus should surround you.
The world’s way treats sin lightly, not demanding change.
But the Word of God breaks bondage and chains.
Clearly spoken truth heals.
With the Spirit’s help sins conviction is real.
Love others enough to speak truth loud and clear;
Along with a prayer the Holy Spirit will open up their ears.

Proverbs 8;7-8
For my mouth shall speak truth; and wickedness is an abomination to my lips.
All the words of my mouth are in righteousness

Prayer
Father, season my words with Your love.  Help me not to say something is right by not saying it is wrong.   Teach me to pray Your truth, and to boldly speak the Word of God.
