Luke 9:20
“But you,” He asked them, “who do you say that I am?” Peter answered, “God’s Messiah!”
I quake with a fear that is hard to explain when I think of the years I had no real idea who Jesus is. I perhaps felt He was someone of great importance, but the magnitude of His being was unknown to me. But even though I now know Jesus is Messiah, I am very sure the magnitude of His revelation still lies ahead.
Who Do You Say I Am?
There are many theories of who I am.
Some call me the Son of God; some say I was just a man.
Some say I was a peacemaker and others say,
I cause division and they turn away.
Some call me Jesus, some Emmanuel,
Some call me friend they know me so well.
Some inquire daily, who am I in their life?
Some seek to know all the names of Christ.
I have been labeled Beelzebub, and called a fraud,
But who am I to you? Am I your God?
I am the Alpha and Omega; beginning and the end.
I am the Savior who soon comes again
I am the Bridegroom, I am the increase, I am Bread
I am New Wine; the Living Water, I am the Church head.
I am Light, the narrow path; the only Way.
I am the Word of God that has been conveyed.
I am the Son of David, I am the vine.
I am love, I am Truth, I am the treasure the seeking soul finds.
I am Lily of the Valley, the Rose, and the Son of man.
But what I want to identify is who do you say I am?
Prayer
You are my Lord, my Savior, and my best friend. You are the reason I live, You are the air I breathe;
You are King of Kings and Lord of Lords!
