Hold On to the Hope By Brenda Drake

            A new year, with new hopes, and dreams; but truly it is a new year with new hope and old dreams. I still have hope that our world is at peace set back on its feet.  I still pray people can have the freedom to pray, worship, and to preach the gospel without persecution.  I have hope our Nation values our freedom; and respects and honors our diversities.  I still dream of a time when it is safe for children to play outside.  I dream of the day when there is only joy, love, respect, and peace with no worry, fears, or anger; I long to see, faces free of stress and worry lines.  I still hope for a time where there are no more homeless, lost or abused people wandering on the streets.  Yes I know this is a New Year, and I indeed do wish for a happy one ahead.  Perhaps …it truly will be!

Hold On to the Hope

A new year with old problems to solve.
Hold on and God’s directions allow.
A new year with new issues to face.
Hold on and step into God’s embrace.
A new year with new hopes in heart,
With new resolutions to stop and to start.
Take with you in the New Year the things you love and adore.
Hold on to them tight, as you hold on to the Lord.
Place the precious things near and dear to you,
In the special holy place prayer provides to you.
Keep Christ in mind and eyes pierced to see,
The provisions of abundance prepared for thee.
Keep Jesus name upon your lips with love and respect
And great help in troubled times with faith expect.
Hold on to love for Love holds on you tight.
Stand up to evil and God for you fights.
When hope is fading remember this rhyme
Have faith I am with you when you are Mine.
Look up and with joy look to the New Year ahead
And hold on to the hope of the promise of what is ahead.

Roman 15:7
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Romans 15:13
Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

Isaiah 40:31z
But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings as eagles;
they shall run, and not be weary;
and they shall walk, and not faint.
