God’s Promises By Brenda Drake

I used to think prayer was almost like begging for favors and pleading for mercy.  Both are and can be true but truly prayer encompasses more than that.  When we learn God’s Word and recognize His promises we have a better idea of what His divine will for us as His chosen people.  If God’s Word says it…believe it.  If we believe it then we can stand on it and with confidence speak it in our prayer-requests.

God’s Promises

As plush and as valuable as the richest thing you know;
As pure and as white as the love God bestows.
As high and as wide as the mountains and beyond;
And as sure and as true as Jesus, the Foundation strong;
The Promises of God are everything man needs.
They are definite; the truth spoken is like planting good seeds.
The promises of God is pure love expressed.
In the name of Jesus, pure-love is confessed;
Their power reaches heaven; they are based on God’s reliability.
The Promises of God are backed by wisdom and honor that must be.
The Promises of God cannot be shaken, nor can they prove untrue.
Depend upon them with all your heart; as a gift they are bestowed on you.
Offer the love you have within, and place it on your lips to God’s promises claim;
Speak out your expectations in Jesus’ name.
If it aligns with Scriptures know the answer will come.
Pray fervently for there is much work to be done.
Read, study, and learn My ways and you will see,
The promises I give will materialize for thee.

Psalms 1:1-3
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Psalms 119:140
Thy word is very pure: therefore thy servant loveth it.
