Tears in the Garden By Brenda Drake

Tears in the Garden

Great was the anguish, great was the pain;
So great the struggle, to bear sins many chains.
Love purposed to do the will of the Father, no matter what the cost,
To face the terrible heartbreak and agony of the cross.
Tears flowed from His pores, great drops of blood.
No man the Saviors agony has fully understood.
His tears in the garden paved the way,
As the example, to God’s will obey.
Love purposed to go to the place,
That would extend mercy and would show grace.
Love offered itself to die for lost mankind.
Every fiber of self sacrificed, body, spirit, and mind.
He was fully committed to do,
The thing He always knew.
His tears in the Garden were dedicated to give life to you and I.
There is no greater love than this, for in His decision He already died!

Luke 22:44
And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.
