The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

The Anointing

When Christ the Anointed One is revealed alive,
Anointing falls as it wells up from inside,
The heavy taste of freedom visits the anointed tongue;
Words sweet with power and authority comes.
Simple yet astounding wisdom pours from the inner supply;
It is like a river that will not run dry.
Well-placed, precise, unpretentious prayer requests,
Are to the God you trust and serve addressed.
Indeed there is nothing denied to them,
That prepare to hear the still voice within.
Every hope and dream is lifted undisturbed,
With eyes filled with faith in God’s Word.
Lips that sing God’s praise will indeed see clear.
God’s touch that causes the anointing to reappear.
Anointed brothers help brothers to the truth see;
A great day comes when the Bride moves in unity!

Lord, You have anointed me to share the love of God with others.
