The Battle Rages By Brenda Drake

If we could get just a glimpse of the war that rages all about us we would be amazed.  We will see a mighty move of God when we do. When we do perceive and we begin to do the one thing we can do we will see many souls come into the Kingdom from every land. Pray for God’s will to be done.

The Battle Rages

My children do not understand what is going on around them.
The battle rages and angels surround them.
The Heavens are ringing with shouts of war.
The truth is; many do not concern themselves anymore.
They take life in easy strides and refuse to fight.
They do not intercede to help overcome wrong with right.
Souls fall in great number; greater than ever before.
The harvest is ripe but many do not want to do work for the Lord.
I need laborers to help lost souls see.
Prayers of the Saints are necessary.
The lost are forever lost, remember this I say;
They need your assistance in the battles that rage.
How do you help? Pray and reach out to share.
Do the loving kind things to show them you care.
Come join the Army that marches through the land.
Not only in deed, but in song, for this is as I have planned.

Ephesians 6:12
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Ephesians 6:18
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

Tell Them By Brenda Drake

            They say misery loves company and it seems people are quick to share bad news weather it is true or untrue. How can we be silent about the Good News of Salvation?  We are instructed by God’s Word to preach in season and out of season. It is vital for the lost to hear of the wonderful provision for their soul. I am forever grateful I heard and believed and was made a new creature in Christ.

Tell Them

Go to the nations; tell them about God’s Son.
Tell them all the good that He has done.
Share the gospel; the Word is still true today.
Go tell them it will never fade away.
Go to the barren lands and give bread to eat.
Go to the byways and into the crowded streets.
In the darkness be a light.
Share about the love of Christ.
Show by signs and wonders that follow Jesus’ name.
Proudly stand and God’s promises proclaim.
Go into the darkness to save from the harvest of blood.
Pull them out of danger lead to the cross of wood.
Reach to the leper, to make clean again.
Cast the sickness of sin out from them
Tell the story of your once blindness and deafness to show,
So the truth to them can be known.
Teach little children whenever you get a chance.
Always help another no matter the circumstance.
I always will lead and guide you, you need never fear.
If obedient the Spirit already prepares hearts to hear.
Go tell the rejected cast-a-way.
If they come I will not turn them away.
Go into the highways, the hill country, and the plains,
Tell everyone that God still breaks away chains.
Tell them the King of Kings the honor of their presence requests.
State the wedding invitations are already sent.
As you go to love others is My plea.
When you truly care you will tell them all about Me.

Psalms 34:1-4
I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
My soul shall make her boast in the LORD: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad. O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together. I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.

Be Strong, Alert, and Courageous By Brenda Drake

            There is so much going on in our world, it feels like everything is upside down and backward. Do not feel alone in your feelings of frustration, and concern we all have need of assurance and direction from our Lord.   In the Word we see in our weakness God is our strength. As we rely on God’s help we do not look like a wimp we look like Jesus.

Be Strong I Am With You

Be strong, alert, and courageous for I am with you.
With God on your side you are able to this and even more do.
Strong means to trust that God in you is strong.
With His strength you will sing victory songs.
Alert means to stay focused on Christ;
Ready, willing, and able to in His strength fight..
Courageous means you know God is for you and that He lives within.
With fearless determination you know because you belong to Him.
He is with you, in you and walks ahead.
He fights your battles when you are by the Spirit led.
Be strong, alert, and courageous and you will see,
God is with you indeed.
The world flexes its muscles but God laughs at it display.
Soon all will know the truth in its terrible array.
Place all your faith in the Word; adhere its wisdom from above.
And you will one day be face to face with the Word and enraptured by His love.

Psalms 16:8
I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.

Psalms 56:3-4
What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.  In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.

John 16:33
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Best Medicine By Brenda Drake

Have you noticed our flesh craves many things that are not good for us? God knows what is best for us and His word gives us guidance to live healthy, prosperous lives.  At times His teachings are distasteful and like a small child we fight doing the right thing. I am glad I am beginning to learn whatever He says is for my best…His is the best medicine.

Best Medicine

A child may refuse to their medicine take;
Before it even reaches their lips they screw up their face.
They may run and hide when it is time for it.
It matters not to them all its benefits.
God’s children act the same way.
Sometimes they also refuse to obey.
They think that surely what God says is good for them,
Will be unpleasant and taste bitter within.
But just as the small child when he relents will find,
The flavor is not so bad most of the time.
Remember to take your medicine it is for your best.
Obedience is what is needed for you to be blessed.

Isaiah 1:19
If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:

John 14:15
If ye love me, keep my commandments.

Eyes of Faith By Brenda Drake

            Eyes of Faith believe what God’s Word says. Circumstances may paint a picture of doom or gloom, but faith will believe God hears and answers prayer and knows God has things planned for our best.  Faith filled eyes see the future as bright and full of promise.

Eyes of Faith

No matter where I am Lord I know You are there.
Wherever I go You are aware.
The whole world is Yours and my treasure is in You.
So I in assurance and in freedom move.
There is nothing mine that I do not give back;
For I know You provide all that I lack.
I walk on golden streets that may feel like dust.
I have a great treasure stored away where it cannot rust.
My vision may be cloudy but it is clear enough to see,
Wherever I am You lead and guide me.
I have a wonderful future with precious jewels along the way.
It may look dark and gloomy but I see with eyes of faith.
I believe I receive all You have promised in the Word.
I will go forth in victory and will not be deterred.
Whatever comes and wherever I need to go,
There are some things Lord that I know:
You are able to keep me safe from harm,
And no matter what happens I need not be alarmed;
You are able to finish the work within my heart,
So in great expectation I will another glorious day start.

Mark 11:22
And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.

Limitless is His Supply By Brenda Drake

Jesus; name above all names is Lord and Savior, and the One that supplies all we need, to Him be all the glory.

Limitless is His Supply

God owns all the eye beholds;
Every diamond, every ruby, every ounce of silver or gold.
The earth is His footstool, everything is in His hand.
Every person and every animal in the land.
He gives abundantly there is no limit to His wealth.
Your God is also the giver of good health.
There is no problem too large for Christ the King,
For in Jesus is the answer to everything.
The air you breathe, the next beat of your heart;
It all has been given man at his start.
Limitless is His supply,
Never does His source run dry.
His storehouse is full and overflows to thee.
You must open up to His abundance receive.
He gives joy, peace, and deep satisfaction within;
On and on the list goes; it never ends.
Redeemed man receives the gift of new life,
Provided by the blood of Christ.
The heart that is home to The Spirit need never fear;
For in God’s mercy he is drawn near.
A Jesus ruled life can claim victory;
In persecution or in famine the captive is set free
In every hurt and in heart-weary toil,
God loves to anoint with healing oil.
His goodness you are able to receive;
All you need to do is to ask and believe.

Matthew 21:22
And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

Faith and God’s Power By Brenda Drake

            Faith and God’s power; what could be greater?  When we have faith in God’s Word, we have faith in Jesus who is the Word of God.  All power and glory belongs to Jesus!

Faith and God’s Power

What the Word says is true;
What it says is good and right to do.
There is nothing impossible to God above.
He is all powerful and He is Love.
Stand on the promises of God in every situation.
Speak out the Word of God without hesitation.
The enemy clouds the issue with circumstance and doubt,
But the prayer of faith will cast him out.
Say, “Be healed in Jesus name, rise up and be made whole.”
The prayer of faith will rely on God’s ability and control.
It is your faith and God’s power that gets the work done.
Your obedient, righteous life dedicated to serve God’s Son,
When fully committed you will believe what the Word says is true,
And then when you faithfully reach out watch what God will do!

Matthew 28:18
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto
me in heaven and in earth.

Zechariah 10:12
And I will strengthen them in the LORD; and they shall walk up and
down in his name, saith the LORD.

Matthew 10:1
And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.

Heaven’s Window By Brenda Drake

Heaven’s Window

I wonder was the window of heaven closed up tight,
So they could not see the terrible sight?
Were the angels crying at the loss;
Of the precious Son of God hanging on the cross?
Did the flowers close their bloom on the day,
The Son of God was sacrificed and put on display?
The birds must have stopped singing for Heaven’s Song was stilled;
When He submitted willingly to do the Father’s will.
The rivers and streams surely did not desire to flow,
For the River of Life was poured out for every living soul.
I know the mountains protested in sad display,
For God’s Word says there was a mighty quake that day.
But, oh how my heart rejoices as I also can by faith see,
The angels, and the heavens cheering on golden streets,
When the tomb burst open and Jesus was alive and well.
Hope and peace in the redeemed a victorious story now would tell.

Luke 15:10
Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.

Revelation 1:18
I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

Tears in the Garden By Brenda Drake

Tears in the Garden

Great was the anguish, great was the pain;
So great the struggle, to bear sins many chains.
Love purposed to do the will of the Father, no matter what the cost,
To face the terrible heartbreak and agony of the cross.
Tears flowed from His pores, great drops of blood.
No man the Saviors agony has fully understood.
His tears in the garden paved the way,
As the example, to God’s will obey.
Love purposed to go to the place,
That would extend mercy and would show grace.
Love offered itself to die for lost mankind.
Every fiber of self sacrificed, body, spirit, and mind.
He was fully committed to do,
The thing He always knew.
His tears in the Garden were dedicated to give life to you and I.
There is no greater love than this, for in His decision He already died!

Luke 22:44
And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.

The Long Walk Back By Brenda Drake

              The Long Walk Back

With hearts sad and full of despair,
They walked away from Jerusalem; for the Lord was no longer there.
With hurting, heavy, hearts of Him they spoke.
They shared with the listening stranger their hearts were broke.
As He broke the bread, they could then see,
The nail scared hands, of the One, that was the Bread indeed.
The One that fed multitudes, was alive and well,
They willingly took the long walk back to the others tell.
With hearts filled with wonder, and eyes wide with joy and surprise,
The One they loved was not dead, He is alive!
……
The world has a deep hurt…. for many hopes has fled.
Their past is a burden heavy and they are afraid to look ahead.
They walk away from hope and dreams; conditioned to accept defeat and loss.
Then, along comes the answer that died for them on the cross.
He picks them up and places them on the solid ground of faith.
He gives them a word to share with those that wait.
They turn about and turn back to those left behind,
To share the good news as the Father designed.
The long walk back has promise in each step;
God is alive and well and He is not finished with you yet!

Luke 24:33-35
And they rose up the same hour, and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven
gathered together, and them that were with them, Saying, The Lord is risen indeed,
and hath appeared to Simon. And they told what things were done in the way,
and how he was known of them in breaking of bread.
