A little becomes more than enough, When it is by God’s hand touched. Whatever you have, offer it to God above, To be multiplied by the touch of Love. In the Word of God many times, There are examples to testify God’s design. God proved time and again, That little becomes more when entrusted to Him. A small lunch fed multitudes…a little fish the taxes paid. A word of authority raised a dead man from the grave. A heart touched by the truth no longer lost remains; But is saved, and made new and freed from chains. Prayer moves mountains out of paths every day. An encouraging word can chase fear away, A tiny child that speaks faith can be, Like a beacon-light so a blind in heart can see. A word of rhyme jotted down, Becomes a wealth of wisdom good and sound. A little bit of joy fills up your life so much; It causes pleasure to those you touch.
Luke 6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
2 Corinthians 8:15 As it is written, He that had gathered much had nothing over; and he that had gathered little had no lack.
This poem tells of clay being molded and shaped by the Potters hand. I have felt His work in the forming and I have felt the heat of the fire applied to make me strong; and it is not always a pleasant feeling. I trust Him and I trust I will be made a vessel better to serve Him.
The Fire Touched Life
The fiery touch of Heaven upon a life, Strengthens and conditions for service for Christ Clay is formed; molded and shaped, Into the vessel the potter desire to make. When a flaw is evident it is started anew. The same clay reformed is made a masterpiece into. After its forming, it is placed into the fiery furnace, So it will strengthen to endure at later service. Love is at work within you. His work is intricate, sure and precise. His full attention is in the formation of your life, He has great plans for you, which only He is able to see. It is a life of purpose, that brings profit for eternity, So remember in yourself and others; the process is slow. However there is great progress in the fire-touched soul. The Holy Spirit never tires of His work inside, So the outside like diamonds shine; proving Jesus within abides.
Isaiah 64:8 But now, O Lord, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand
Romans 8:38-39 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
His unfailing love fills the earth; it is displayed for all to see. From the mountains to the plains reveal His majesty. His sunrises and sunsets beautifully paint the sky; Causing pleasures to the watchful eye. The bird’s song, gentle breezes that caress the brow, The flight of the eagle, the waving palms that bow, The mighty cedars, the tiny seed that grows, The cross of Calvary provided to save sinful souls. His gentle prodding’s encourage all to come, With fierce intense flooding soulS with His love is overcome. His love fills the earth and enters and surrounds. The receptive heart that has opened, self will lay down. His joy, His praise, His strength and His power becomes, All a part of the life of His chosen one. Opened eyes begin to see His glory on every side; And His unfailing love without measure for His bride.
I will give thanks to the God of heaven. His love endures forever.
The Holy Spirit starts His holy work long before we know or even desire to know God. In times of quiet, and of trial we are touched with fascinating strands of truth. The salvation story enters into the hungry seeking heart. I now have a great hunger for the Word. God feeds me often all the wisdom I desire, and encourages me to even eat more!
Wisps of Truth
Wisps of truth, like delicate strands of gold, Deposited in the secret place the heart holds. Interwoven threads of goodness pure and undefiled; Bits of God’s wisdom that causes the heart to smile. Wondrous revelations that reveal God’s power and might; That floods the inner sanctuary with eternal lights. A supernatural breath of air that lifts up the heart to receive, That, that their faith believes. The truth of God’s love has a sweet taste, As God introduces the wonder of His grace. The captive is freed, like an eagle soars to great height, As God’s forgiveness fills the soul with unearthly delights. Great desire fills this place with the need to give praise; At the truth of unworthiness, the heart bows amazed. Beautifully adorned in worship as a living sacrifice; Filled and overflowing, one with Jesus Christ. A marvelous union so intricately designed; One with the Truth – perfectly aligned. Seek God and you will find peace. Seek His ability for He is your strength. Hunger for righteousness – He is the bread. Thirst for His wisdom, He is the head. Rest in His goodness, entrust your life to His care; He is the fullness you seek; He is always willing to share. Every trial you face, know He guides your step. Every battle formed against you He is prepared for it. Read God’s Word each and every day, And the delicate strands of His truth will show you His way.
John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free
I had a refrigerator magnet that had the best advice. It said if God said it, believe it! This poem adds even more to its great message.
Stand on the Word
Put your finger on it; claim it for your life. Underline it and watch it shed on you a new light. Place your feet upon it; stand boldly on its worth. There is no power that can defeat it on the earth. Set your eyes ahead on the Truth that you see in faith; Put your heart to rest and with patience wait. Stake all you have and will acquire on the value of the Word. It will not fade away, dissolve, or be deterred. Show it to others, proclaim its truth to them. Never fear it will fail you, it will prove true till the end. There is no power that can cause God’s Word to fail or fall. Study daily the wisdom that will help you through it all.
Psalms 18:30 As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.
Psalms 119:140 Thy word is very pure: therefore thy servant loveth it.
I love flowers for their beauty and for their fragrance; and I am disappointed when they wilt and die. I surround myself with artificial flower arrangements for their lasting beauty but would much more appreciate the real ones. God makes us all beautiful and a forever bloom in His kingdom.
Flower of Eternal Life
On earth a flower’s beauty fades On the vine it does not forever stay. Its promise of pleasure is no more, Its lovely attributes fall to the earth’s floor. Flowers on earth are presented as gifts. The aroma of some, are hard to resist. Lovely to look at and lovely to smell, Each bloom has its own story to tell. Just so are the children in the land. The flower of youth proudly stands. But beauty fades and droops down, With or without sweet aroma also fall to the ground. But there is a Flower that forever blooms. He is, was and is coming soon. He lived, loved, and died for man; So His life and His love you could understand. Because you are His and He is in You, You are now a flower in full bloom. A forever flower, eternal life lives within. Because He is life, and You are one with Him, You are the flower I send to grace the table of the lost; Full of good fruits that show the way to God’s love on the cross.
1 John 2:17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
We may feel like a wall-flower completely out of step with the ways of the world, and mistakenly think we need to fit in more with our surroundings. But I am realizing it is much better for me to be true to myself and hold in esteem the truths I hold dear. I rather be envisioned as different or as a wall- flower in men’s eyes than to be as a dirtied flower in my own and in God’s eyes.
When the flower falls in the mud, its beauty is not seen. It’s still a flower but it is not held in as great esteem. When the flower is with many onions placed, It is still beautiful but its aroma is erased. For it is overpowered by the strong odor around them. It isn’t the most desirable place to be in. A flower-gift is not appreciated and treated with respect, When placed into the garbage bin with the rubbish. This flower is still a flower it is recognized as a good thing, But it doesn’t inspire the heart with joy or cause it to sing. It is a waste – a shame to treat its beauty this way My friend; For it is indeed a gift the Father to the world sends. The one dedicated will offer its beauty for those that will see, So even in the waste-place they may be a gift received. Flower-of-beauty, shine forth your light, For you are chosen to be to those that seek a delight!
2 Corinthians 6:14-17 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
We to impress others can put on an outward show of goodness, but God sees our inner man and knows our every motive. It is much better to emulate Jesus the One that is truly good. With His help we become His ambassadors in a dark world; able to show the way to the cross that rescues the lost by the Father’s provision of salvation.
The Heart of a Hero
The heart of a hero to the outward eye, Looks the same as the cowards on the outside. It’s the inner place where only God can see; The hero’s heart looks like it has been touched by divinity. Who are God’s heroes? They may surprise you when shown. They may seem a little strange and stand alone. Heroes in God’s kingdom look different than what the world proclaims. They by the world’s standards are called different names. True heroes are those that do what is right. Without thought they are a light. God’s hero is steadfast in faith. They are the ones that are on call to in an instant pray. They are the ones that turn the cheek and refuse to fight; Unless it is to stand up tall for what is good and right. A hero in God’s kingdom may be portrayed as humble or weak; But it is strength and truth heard when they speak. The heart of the hero beats to the tune of Christ. They are His workmanship and the bride of His delight.
Matthew 5:3-11 “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. “Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth. “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied. “Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy. “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. “Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account.
When we begin to feel alone, inadequate, or afraid of what lie ahead, we must remember just who it is that is our Lord and Savior. He promises to never leave or forsake us.
I AM is With You
I am wherever your feet trod. I am your world, you belong to God. I am the One that saved you by grace. I am the One that on the tree took your place. I am walking before you, behind, and above. I am your foundation, I am love. You are loved by I AM, You are walking in my plan. You are walking with eyes that see, The Spirit of God is leading thee. Your eyes of faith see God is on your side. Your faith knows your God also reigns inside. Your life is precious in His sight. You are indeed His delight. So walk in faith with a knowing that whatever comes, Is in the divine knowledge of God’s Son. Jesus’ name on your lips holds power. He is your total strength in the world’s last hours. So go forth knowing I AM is in control. If you are not stopped then in confidence go. Love is with you in every trial and tribulation you face. You are in His care and in His loving embrace.
Exodus 3:14 And God said unto Moses, I Am that I Am: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I Am hath sent me unto you.
Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
I can hardly wait to spend my morning time with my Lord. I get my cup of coffee, by bible and notepad ready to get into the presence of God. When my routine is interrupted and I am unable a few days to do as accustomed I find I am almost desperate to get back on track.
Desperate for Your Touch
My soul is desperate for Your touch, It seems I can never get enough. I fill up to overflow With the nourishment of my soul, But still I have a great desire within. With all I am I yearn for more of Him. When my thoughts stray to mundane things, I am jealous of the time spent away from my King. When worry and the troubling sounds of life, Pull my attention away from Jesus Christ; Again I am desperate to get back on track, And from the world’s clamor I turn my back. My heart reaches up frantic for Him, Only to remember He also dwells deep within. I settle in to my secret place, Ready to receive His loving embrace. Here I am Lord use me today. Be with me in my attitudes in all I do and say. And when I get tired and weary from my toil, And in my desperation I again seek Your anointing oil, Allow me to return in repentance like the prodigal son. I know by faith my Heavenly Father toward me runs.
Matthew 5:6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
Psalms 143:6 I stretch forth my hands unto thee: my soul thirsteth after thee, as a thirsty land.
