Fear, Distrust and Confusion- The Terrible Three By Brenda Drake

We are living in uncharted times where there are many different opinions on the ways we need to handle the myriads of issues on hand.  It is most assuredly a time where we get fearful, confused, and distrustful of the motives of those around us.   I am not downplaying the gravity of our world’s condition nor am I condemning our natural human emotions.   I am instead suggesting we place our trust in God and His love for us.  He is not out of control.   He is the Truth, Life, and The way.  Allow Him to bring comfort and peace to your heart and mind; and trust in His ability to guide us.

Fear, Distrust, and Confusion-
The Terrible Three

Fear, distrust, and confusion- the terrible three;
They thrive on division, strife, and uncertainties.
Perfect love casts out fear.
Trust in God’s love and wisdom and truth appears.
Fear paralyzes the heart and causes hardness to occur within.
It freezes the mind’s ability to comprehend.
Confusion gathers and spreads its poison, and positions itself to fight;
Without full vision of what is wrong or right.
The mind that stays on Christ will see clear,
That He is the God of love and peace and will chase away your fear.
The heart that trusts God fills up with the Word.
They receive the blessings of His provision and confusion is curbed.
As a clear heart and the mind agree; the light shows the way;
A clear path for the faithful as they against the “terrible three pray”
Fear, distrust, and confusion are brought in prayer to Christ.
He is the lifter of your head and He your battle fights.

1 John 4:18
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

1 Corinthians 14:43
For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.

Proverb 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart;
and lean not unto thine own understanding.
 In all thy ways acknowledge him,
and he shall direct thy paths.
