Comforting Words By Brenda Drake

There is no place more comforting than in the presence of our most loving God.  Never have I been disappointed He is always able to restore my hope and faith. I love the Word of God and the still sweet voice within that assures me I am His, and all is well with my soul.

Comforting Words

Are you lonely and need encouragement my Child?
Come and sit with me awhile.
Your heart is heavy; I feel it too
Although you don’t understand I know all you go through.
When you are afraid and something is wrong inside
Come and take rest; in my strength abide.
When eyes are unable to see, and ears strain to hear,
Reassurance for those that are to you most dear,
Be assured I know the fears that rise up to trouble the mind.
“Will they go on in faith with God, or will they be left behind?”
I know when life sometimes seems to pass you by.
I see your unfulfilled dreams, and I hear your sighs.
The things of the earth grow strangely dim;
When you allow your Lord to cause calm deep within.
My healing touch causes well-being you when you come.
Lift up thanks and praise for all that God has done.
When you are mine you need to know, of you I am a vital part,
Love reaches into even the darkest corner of your heart,
The past is gone – a bright future ahead of you lie.
You are a precious jewel; in my eyes
The Spirit speaks peace with comforting words.
When in His presence new hope and faith occurs.

2 Corinthians 1:2-4
Grace be to you and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.

II Thessalonians 2:16-17
Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace, Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work.
