To Walk and Talk with God By Brenda Drake

        Since the day of Salvation I am discovering how to express my love, concerns and needs with the Lord.  Each day I learning more and more how to listen to the voice of God who also desires to communicate His love and plans for me.

To Walk and Talk With God

To walk and talk with God to most seems an impossiblity
For how can this happen if God you cannot see?
How can we listen to someone that does not make a sound?
And then show another the truth that we have found?
It is not impossible though it is only possible by faith.
Its reality becomes so sure, its confession you will not hesitate.
To walk with God is to always be aware that He is near.
And to talk with God is to know every word He hears.
To listen is to be still and allow flesh to die,
So you can hear the God that within you abides.
Trust and faith causes worry to the enemies around,
For they know you’re walking on solid ground.
Your guide ( the Holy Spirit)  instructs and teaches God’s Word;
And your heart grasps the truth and practices what you’ve heard.
Mankind becomes what God has always planned for him to be;
Not a separate being but a part of Him through eternity.
One heart, and one mind, one through and through;
One day, it will be more odd and strange to not with God move.
Draw close and listen and you will move in one accord
You will be one of the ones that walks and talks with the Lord!

John 10:27
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

John 14:16-17
And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
