Shelter From the Storm

The winds are mighty, they rip and tear.
The seemingly strong, pleasant place is no longer there.
The world’s harsh touch has caused damage again.
Another shelter is needed, another decision you find yourself in.
Life has many places that are built by human hands.
They are not always as strong as they’ve planned.
Some hide away in creative places…not safe at all,
And when the wind blows hard they fall.
Some reside in bottles of alcohol …some in the stupor of drugs.
Some are in horrid places that they are convinced are good.
But the storms of life will the truth reveal,
And their dire situation will be known as real.
Come to the One that has prepared a place
Of refuge under the banner of His embrace.
He is the Rock of safety; He is the true shelter from life’s storms.
He is the One that prepares a mansion for the reborn.
He is the One that tells the winds to cease.
He is the Creator, the Savior, who gives eternal refuge of peace

Matthew 7:24-25
Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:  And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
