The Father’s Heart

The father’s heart yearns to express love for his son.
He tries… but when the day is done,
He wonders ,did he get his message through?
Even though he did all he could do.
His words, were to encourage and to lift and edify,
His heart’s thoughts; to communicate he tried.
Oh how he desires to take away every pain.
How he would fight to free from every chain.
The father’s heart, is softer than you at first can see.
But this, is just as the Father in heaven, plans it to be.
For He too loves His children much,
He strives always to show and to share His love.
His Word is designed always to His love share.
He sent His Son to show how much He cares.
The Father’s heart was broken, when His only Son,
Suffered and died to save the lost …each and every one.
He took upon Himself every sin and pain.
He died and rose again to break every chain.
He till this day will  your battle fight.
For the Father’s heart fills with love for His redeemed …they are His delight

Dear Heart

I do not write letters often, I would rather call on a phone.  Our God calls out to us at all times but many do not hear His voice.  Perhaps some will hear His message of love in this love letter to them.

Dear Heart,

How are you?  I heard you were ill.
Keep your appointment with the Great Physician when you are not feeling well.
He is a Specialist; in heart, body, and mind.
He is always available to spend His time.
His holy service does not cost you a thing.
He paid the price that covers everything.
Are you still hungry?  He has bread that fulfills,
With supernatural strength; that within is instilled.
His nourishment is lovingly served to all who comes,
And, is available at any time to everyone.
Dear heart, do you still have worry, stress, and anxiety?
If so, I have the perfect remedy.
There is a River that flows in this most perfect place
Where peace reigns and wraps in arms of grace.
Come it is where God abides.
You are always welcome and you will be revived.
When you come often I am sure you will see.
You are feeling much better; as full and filled as you want to be.
Sincerely, The Lover of your Soul,
Jesus, Lord, Savior, that all things know,

 Isaiah 50:5
The Lord God hath opened mine ear, and I was not rebellious,
neither turned away back.

Prayer

Lord, I hear your call.  Thank you for being everything I need. Thank you for paying the debt of my sins.  Thank you for the wonderful gift of prayer.

Decide to do Right

Decide when you see a flaw within,
To turn your back on it, and do not do it again.
Make conscious decision, to choose good over bad.
Decide to change your ways and it will lose the hold it had.
Evil cannot win over the power of good.
Call upon the name of Jesus; He will help you do as you should.
Resolve to follow His example as in the Word you abide.
Then no clinging evil can pull you aside.
Allow the Holy Spirit to form you, into the holy image of Gods Son.
Stay yielded and still until He is done.
Place all your trust and faith, in Him, who died to make you whole.
Permit Him to help show you the way you need to go.
For, He has decided… He has already died for you.

Ps 119:30
I have chosen the way of truth: thy judgments have I laid before me.

What is There to be Anxious For by Brenda Drake

HIS a8947264203f5e936a667f5ad2cc4de4

Sometimes I feel like a square peg in a round whole world.  God loves variety, He makes one of a kind things.  He has no problem keeping everything straight…our little problems are not going to cause Him distress.  I need to be reminded every once and awhile that He is in full control

What is There to be Anxious For

If the stars are numbered and named
And if every snowflake is not one the same
And every individual wonderfully unique
And every thought or word heard from the strong and the weak
If every leaf that falls is known and every number of sand
Are counted and every nation is held in my hand
What is it that will cause You to worry my friend?
The One that knows all lives within
There is no place your foot will travel that I do not see
I walk ahead and follow after thee
There is no request too large or a problem to small to ask
For the One that loved you enough to die for you… it is not too large a task
The winds of life will blow and so will the hard rains
But the Son shines bright upon you and in you remain
Life has a divine purpose and an intricate design
Every finger’s print uniquely lined
The reborn is forever joined to the One that made all you can and cannot see
His beautiful, pure, holy, bride for eternity
What is there to worry or to be anxious for?
Not one thing when you belong to the LORD OF LORDS

Ps 139:14-17
I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.   My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.  Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.  How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!

The Value of a Soul by Brenda Drake

The Value of the Soul

There is great value in a  soul; nothing is valued as high,
This is the reason Jesus on the cross-died.
Everything in the world; every pebble, every stone,
And every jewel’s value, is less than one soul alone.
A soul’s value, will always last,
Eternal life for every person is a fact.
Man does not clearly see;
The important place, he holds through eternity.
The great decision he makes
Is a matter of forever;  assured for him at the stake.
Man accepts or rejects the great service done,
The great value of the sacrifice of Jesus, God’s Son.
Man’s earthly life, is a scale; it measures what he values most.
He chooses what decays and rusts, or in Jesus  he will boast.
Every soul is treasured; far above God’s entire creation story.
The wise, choose to serve Him and choose to bring Him glory.

John 3:16-18
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.  He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

The Potter’s Hand by Brenda Drake

The Potter’s Hands

A potter forms clay; it is shaped by his hands,
Applying gentle pressure to create what he plans.
Every movement is important, each step he takes,
Forms the piece he makes.
A vessel is only as good as the creators touch,
The one that forms it determines so much.
An amateur may make mistakes,
With vessel flawed, so fragile, it easily breaks.
His  effort is worthless and hidden from view,
Or, it is crushed before it is finished, to redo.
However, God perfectly forms us just as He created earth,
Carefully sculpting, never tiring of His work.
His hands, shape us to become,
Beautiful vessels; to hold the Spirit of His Son.
Filled with the oil of joy, and with everlasting peace,
Never to run dry and packed full; with great increase.
We are now, lovely, pure, and undefiled,
Causing our  heavenly Father’s heart to smile.
We are bought and paid for, at great price,
It cost the Son of God His life.
The finished work of the heavenly Potter is fine,
To be filled to overflow with His sweet wine.
Each with a design so intricate and unique; set in the rightful place.
Every saved soul, is a masterpiece of His grace.

Isa 64:8
But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.

Get to Know One Another

Get to know one another, make an effort to be a friend.
Place a special time aside to pray for them.
Go visit their home; sit and rest awhile.
Just take time to relax; share pleasant thoughts and smiles.
Allow the love of God to lift your faith, and then,
You too, will be able to share your life with them.
Listen to each other.s trials, care and share how you have overcome.
The love between you will then be joined as one.
I know you will be blessed if you do as this word relays;
For Jesus said, to love one another… then His name is raised!

Rom 12:5
So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another

Shining Light by Brenda Drake

Shining Lights

The chosen ones are lights on the earth;
They are a living testimony since rebirth.
When the Spirit is alive in you,
Even in flesh His light shines through.
The flesh is an unwilling vessel; it needs into be placed aside.
When the spirit-man is made strong, the fleshes power dies.
The more you learn of God, the more you understand,
Although you may fail, He beholds the spiritual man.
As you repent and continue to follow after the Word,
The flesh influence is weakened, and new strength occurs.
Your light beckons the lost to come in,
It invites to the Kingdom by God’s light within.
But know as you shine out God’s love
The reflection also reaches to heaven above.
As you strive to be more like the Master to conquer the flesh,
Allow your light to shine and keep doing your best.
Know that God observes the heart motives and the intents within,
At your true effort He sees your light shining out again.

Acts 13:47

For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.

Mother’s Day Honor by Brenda Drake

Mother’s Day Honor

Mother’s day honors the one in your life,
That has added increase and light.
She may or may not have given birth to you,
But her influence has greatly your life improved.
Mothers may be more recognized as Mom in name,
But she will answer at all times at the call proclaimed.
Her life is celebrated by the old and the young too,
Without her what would the world do?
She loves like God, with a love willing to serve.
She too loves even when her love is undeserved.
She carries the burden of her child till the day she dies.
The good, godly mother always lifts her child’s name high.
In both in praise and in prayer her devotion is shown.
To the eyes of the world her love for you is known.
Honor your mother and those about that have this place filled.
When you do you also honor God…It indeed is His will.

The Gift by Brenda Drake

The Gift

A baby loves his mother; and will snuggle as close as he can get.
In their world, there may be many other places they can sit,
But there is no place as comfortable than a mother’s arms can be.
There is no dearer face for them to see.
Mothers are God’s gift; and He bestows upon her much praise.
Godly mothers sacrifice, to a child raise.
She listens to every care as they grow.
Good advice is bestowed by mothers as a gift sown.
Mothers in later years become,
Close-friends, still sharing their wisdom.
If you are a mother; rejoice in your important place.
You are a reflection of God’s greatest gift; as you portray grace.
By your quiet spirit; you mirror love, patience, and peace.
By steadfast love, you point the way to great increase.
Your unselfish love portrays Jesus’ sacrifice for man
Godly living that aligns with the Word; helps to His ways understand.
Mothers are honored with cards, flowers, chocolates, and pretty things.
But respect and love is the most appreciated gift their children bring.
Good mothers likewise do not throw her child or their gifts away.
For her child is also her gift from God, He planned it that way!

John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Eph 6:2
Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;)
